If I weren’t watching this just before midnight I’d be pulling out items to make some bubble paper for myself. So cool!

Well the 6 year old in me can’t wait to play. A fun new technique (to me). Thanks for sharing.
So much fun and new to me. I’ll try it with my grandkids when they visit this summer. But before then, I’ll make a bunch for myself. Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks!
Ohh nice technique, we become children again with those bubbles ❤️❤️❤️
That looks like a lot of fun! Like being a big kid! Husband: "What did you do today, dear?" "Oh, I blew bubbles in my coffee!" 😄

It is so interesting that this has come around again. I still have some papers that I did 28 years ago. Fun memories. Blessings from Canada 🇨🇦
Barbara I love ❤ how you continuely sacrifice yourself for us by bringing out your inner child to have a play with bubbles!😀💕💕💕 I kept laughing at the sound of you blowing the bubbles lol . I want to try it( but thanks for the warning 😉) Wishing you joy ! 😊 🇨🇦

I love the way you speak and laugh when you like the results of the experience. It's so funny. And thanks for sharing this to us. Hugs 🇵🇹😘
absolutely loved this. very additive. I can't wait for my grandson to come over this weekend. I know he will have a blast doing this.
I do this with a coffee cup with a handle. I hold the cup above the paper and let the bubbles overflow on the paper, moving the cup rather than the paper.
You always come up with new ideas. It's wonderful. I'm going to share this with my disability support service's craft group

I had so much fun blowing bubbles this morning. I made some beautiful paper
I'm definitely trying this! I bet that light color would look good on black....
Help! I cannot stop…..this is so much fun! My husband may have me committed tho, he gave me a very strange look as he passed by my work station. Thanks for the fabulous idea!!!

Barbara, I am only half way through watching this and already I like the bubble effect much better than splattering or other ways of coffee dying paper! I have not seen this technique at all and think perhaps this is my new obsession. I tend to work on smaller pieces, so this is much more manageable and less messy than spraying and splattering. Thanks for your brave experimenting. (Just remember to blow and not sip through the straw...haha)
I did this and they came out great. Then I put soap in some blue dye and did it in blue. Yep,...addicting!!! Thx for a great video. Austin,TX USA
I've never been the first one to comment. I saw no one had commented and I stopped the video to be first but 2 people beat me. 🤣🤣🤣. I'm back to watching the rest of it. 🥰
I tried this technique for the first time too. I am having such fun!
I can’t stop smiling when you blow bubbles…
Thank you sweetie for this amazing update and reminder about bubble papers!!! About 10 years ago I got into doing this (can't remember from what inspiration) and I had many different jars of different colored inks and soap...that was actually during my quilting days...I'm gonna do this again...your papers are super cute!!! Love ya!!🤗❤

I have done this with food coloring & a set of bubbles for wedding favors that I found at Dollar Tree. You are right it is addictive!
What a great idea I can't wait for my daughter to come back home to make it with her ❤
OMG... so simple but with stunning results!! With a limited income I"m always looking for ways to spice up my base pages.
Oh wow, these are beautiful! I am gonna try this tonight. I especially love what you did with the junk mail. Super cool. TFS 😘

Absolutely love this, Barbara. Looking forward to having a play. Thank you!
I used to do this with school kids using food colors (like for Easter eggs) to get fun bright papers. Those kind might be good backgrounds for the children’s book pages I have been collecting (hoarding) for the junk journal I plan to make some day.
So fun!! And so effective. I particularly like that they dry quickly. I put some bubbles on the back of some ink jet printed digital images and there are no ink runs! Yay! Thanks for the tutorial.

After watching your video I had to go and play with the bubbles myself. I got a beautiful blue green color that left beautiful bubble marks. Then I thought, what if I Sprinkled a little glitter in the mixture. I did and it came out beautiful. Just a hint of sparkle to the bubble outlines. Thanks for your great video.
👍👍What a fabulously fun activity! I love the look of the bubbles on paper and can't wait to try this out with my youngest. It's rare when someone gives an adult permission to just have fun. Thank you, Barbara.🤗🥰
These are awesome!!! It is a new technique for me. I never did this craft as a child. I love the effect. Wow, a new idea, love it!!
Wow, what a great idea and good fun too. Who'd have thought you could do this. Thank you so much. I know what I'll be doing this weekend!!! xx
Hey Barbara, I did a stack of papers and index cards with 4 different colors they didn't come out like yours but omgoodness that was fun and they look so good. I told my husband I was getting tired lolol he said I should be dizzy from blowing bubbles for so long..... hahaha Have a great day. Sending love and big hugs Sherry ❤

The randomness of the design is incredible with this technique! Thank you for sharing! ❤️
Wow, often times the most amazingly beautiful and fun techniques are the most simple and affordable ones. Thank you dear Barbara for sharing this great resource and inspiration! I can’t wait to try it out!
Always love your experiments Barbara! Quite a few years ago I visited Vienna for a day (had an all day layover on purpose); rode the Ferris wheel and climbed the 343 steps to the top of St Stephen’s Cathedral, plus lots of walking. I really loved my day in Vienna.

I used to do this with grandkids when they where young and forgot all about it 😂 thanks for the reminder 💕
I tried this technique today after watching your video. For one batch, I used purple Hawaiian Punch drink mix for the color and it turned out beautifully! I put photos on Instagram and tagged you. Thanks for the inspiration!

So effective with the coffee great idea. Wow remember doing this with the children many years ago thank you for the reminder.
Yes, this is a fun old activity from years ago! I did it as a child and again in my art classes! I got great results using pastels for a baby journal! Thanks for the reminder! 😃❤️
I tried this with my 2 5-year old nieces and it was a big hit. Everybody had a great time and I ended up with some very pretty papers. thanks for the tutorial!

So fun. I used to do this with my kids on blank cards and food coloring. They made cute thank you notes. Thanks for bringing back a fun memory. I’ll try it with coffee.
One thing to keep in mind when using paints: watercolors dry lighter in color while acrylics dry a bit darker in color. I never did this in school but know I'll have fun trying this out tomorrow. Recently dyed some paper with beet juice, I'll bet that would have worked nicely as well 👍❤️

Barbara, I am rewatching the video and working with the bubble right now. I found that holding the paper over the liquid and then blowing the bubbles up to meet the paper also works well and gives a very bubbly effect!

this is great ..in art school we would just add ink to our bubble bottles and blow bubble on the the canvas....this seems a bit more controlled...but blowing bubbles is a joy that knows no age..hahaha
Omg! This looks addicting, I wonder how this would work on light fabric? This is such a cool technique, I'm going to do this with my Grandson. He's 3.5yrs old. He's probably going to think "what in the world is my Nonna doing now"? 😂🤣 TFS 🤗💐🌼🌸🌹❤️
Oh, I love this! It makes great background papers. I'm going to do it right now! TFS 🤗

Thanks, Barbara. Not as messy as I imagined.
I forgot about bubbles! Can’t wait to try for backs of scrapbook paper & with grandson! Fun! 🤩tfs

oh what fun! I just can't wait! have you tried food dye? and the other thing I thought of was doing more than one color, not just the coffee and a color. oh, I think I'm going to be bubbling it up this weekend! thank you, Barbara! we'll have to start calling you "Bubbles"!❤️😘

Thank you Barbara, I love this color bubbles on the paper. Love all your art. TFS, Hugs
Great fun! Will try it when my grandson comes for a visit so he can play as well! TFS the inspiration, Barbara!
Barbara, this is such a neat idea! Love they way the bubbles change sizes! I can see how this will be very addicting!!!!!!
Wonderful....wonderful...wonderful. I'm going to try this today. The difference between the watercolor in a tube and the pan.....mostly concentration. Like one tea bag and 10 teabags. Perhaps using a little less water and more concentrated drops from the WC pans....or just go with the tube paint. It will take some trial and error on the recipe for different mediums. Good play time. Thanks for doing this video and I always love the samples on ways to use these techniques. 5* on this one for sure.

“Barbara’s Bubble Paper”. Thinking of recruiting the neighbor kids. We could mass produce in no time. Great summer fun.
Super genial und easy und es scheint einen Riesenspaß zu machen. Das werde ich auf jeden Fall ausprobieren, liebe Barbara. Danke fürs Zeigen! Liebe Grüße, Doreen 😘
Oh I remember doing this when I was little. It was fun but I totally forgot about it! Tip: if you want bigger more stable bubbles (for bigger paper) add a tiny bit of glycerine (and bigger container obvious🙈). This would be cool with food dye too. I'm definitely doing this with my son. Oh we have bubble guns! We can do it outdoors and catch the bubbles😄. I imagine it's hard to stop and the results are brilliant😍. Oh the blue is so pretty 😍. Oh the butterfly is GORGEOUS 😍 and the yellow works really well. Absolutely brilliant. Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖

So, so fun sweetie 😄🤗😄 and I love the way it looks. I might have to try this too 😘😘😘
Add some glycerine to mixture … without any pigment. Strengthens bubbles. Saw another artist transfer clear bubbles to the paper and drop in concentrated pigment with a brush.

I really want to try this. I saw Artymaze do a video of this early this week. It looks like so much fun!!
Watercolor is transparent, that’s why you did not see it on its own. And QOR watercolors are very intense because they use a patented binder to bind the color pigments for the paint. That might be why the white nights did not show up and the QOR did. Amazing technique! Will be trying it for sure 👍🏽

I love this! I had never heard of this technique, nobody did this at my school😯 Never too late to have fun though🥳 I thought Hookers Green watercolour might work, because it's so intense as a green, it might actually look good. The page that was a bit grey looking, reminded me of a lunar landscape. The envelope was beautiful too ( and grungy) Thank you for sharing this🙏🙂
Love these pages.
I love this idea, the affect is wonderful. I can’t wait to try it.
Soo fun, fast and easy way to get a different papers. Love, love it.🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
