Try $40 a bag now ! My Sulpur Crested Cockatoo goes through a bag every 2-3 weeks. That's not including ALL my other parrots. I have 2 Fig trees in my front yard that produced 60+ pounds of figs. I WILL be using this recipe. HOWEVER.....no guarantee they will eat them. I have picky picky parrots. Say that 5 times real fast ! Lol

THEY DON'T KNOW ANYTHING... THEY ARE IN IT FOR THE MONEY. The best diet for a parrot is Harrison's pellets. They come in different sizes and flavors and situations. I add baby food vegges or veggies and fruit to make them taste different every day. Adding fresh greens like chopped parsley, cilantro or one of the other flavorful leaves... use chopped red bell peppers or if it's a large bird give them a large piece of the red pepper that they can hold in their foot. An egg once every couple of weeks. I beat mine in a cup and put it in the microwave and it comes out all fluffed up. The birds love it... just make sure it has cooled off. You can add sesame seeds and chia for added nutrition. Or whatever they like, but not nuts... those should be a special treat. Ask your avian vet if you can use any of the various powder mixes that are full of veggie nutrients and if so, how much and how many times per week. There are other pellitized parrot diets, but Harrison's is the best. If they don't want the pellets, crunch them up a bit in a baggie first then add the baby food to the pellets. Or buy the small size so there is an easier way to eat pellets. My moluccan has been on a fine size Harrison's for years and years and years and years... and she's in superb health. My grey also eats the pellets in the square size. And if he can sneak a few bites he will eat some of the Moluccan's food. He likes the tiny size. My moluccan is 35 and my grey is 20. Both in excellent shape. I've had the moluccan for 30 years and the grey for 20 years. He was a baby when I brought him home.

You will love wheñ you get you're bird, mine came for a bird/parrot only shop and they get them from breeders at very young age, so you pick out a bird and visit it so it knows you and they can't come homè till they can eat in there own, I got a green cheek conure, pinapple colored! 3 years ago, he is à Male, lòvè Jake so much! We love him so much and Turning 3. Years old soon, and talks in context, So do get a parrot, you will be happy ya did, wich ever species, they become your best freind! Congrats when you find one for you!👌♥️btw cockatiels are less nippy, the cockatiel is a kind and friendly bird😁

Give them a veggie diet (such as chop) id research before getting a bird. If you have to ask them what they eat it probably means your gonna impulse buy.

So I’ve had my bird for almost a year now and every time I leave my room she screams at me till I come back or at least till she knows I’m not home anymore. Is this normal?

Yes, that's normal for some birds.
