Like it also try this get a second hand soda stream and attach a tube to the injection funnel. Place a cut in half plastic bottle in the tank with sucker pads tied on with fishing line. Simply press the soda stream gently and inject co2 gas into the bottle through the tube and let it diffuse into the water.

No it won't, the gas only produced if water flowing from one bottle to another(citric acid to baking soda). Shutting off the valve would hold the gas pressure, when both bottle have the same pressure the water wouldn't flow. You can see on my video I'm using a gauge to control the pressure in the bottles, 3-5 psi is enough for me. Or you can use a bubble counter as an indicator how much pressure you have in the bottles. 1 bubble per second is the standard, if your plant need more co2 set it to 2-3 bubble per second.

Sorry im late to reply your comment. Im using 50gr citric acid and 50gr baking soda as CO2 reactor. It will last 2 weeks at the most, depending on bps setting(bubble per second). I run it 24 hour, but if you got a valve on your co2 system you can run it only when the lights On. It will make the CO2 reactor last longer at least 3 to 4 weeks. Again its depending on your BPS settings, I ussualy set it on 1 bps.

I don't think you gonna need that, because yeast+sugar are slow in releasing co2 gas. In other hand, citric acid+baking soda are very reactive so you need to control the pressure. That's why it need to mix with certain amount of water, to lower its concentration and slow down the reaction.

If your fish is swimming on surface searching for air, that's mean level oxigen is decreasing. You could run aerator and co2 at the same time. Im afraid your tank ecosystem is not establish enough with co2 addition. Usually new aquascape tank run only with plants+hardscape+co2 for a couple weeks to get the balance, then fish/shrimp can go in the tank.

bro u can use direct co2 from dry ice their is no need of two bottles and two ingredients . PROCESS ÷below 👇 just use dry ice and pour it in water bottle which has water and then the co2gas will be generated and use it with ur co2 equipment . BECAREFULL ÷ use required amount of dry ice for the given volume of water bottle for this u need to do bit math and chemistry calculation . high dose of dryice in the water bottle containing water will explode the bottle so we need to use required amount of dry ice. for given volume of water bottle and for safety reasons use thick walled bottles only (which are made of metal ) ADVANTAGES ÷ 1kg or 500 gm will enough for your tank it will easily run ur aquarium up to 1month or more than 1month on an average . cost is very cheap like (40-80) rupees/kilo of dry ice. and on an average u will get up to 5 bubbles/sec easily with that high pressure. i tried it worked to me and suggesting it to you . try it use this method and save ur money . say bye co2 cylinders etcetc save ur money .
