    Hi Erika! Thanks for watching :) I always link to places to purchase all the ingredients for any given formulation in the written version of the formulation in the free partner blog post, which is linked in in the written version of the formulation in the free partner blog post the description box below the video (that's one of the many reasons I highly suggest reading the blog post as well as watching the video! If you're not sure what I mean by the "description box", read this: www.humblebeeandme.com/faqs/whats-the-description-box-on-youtube/.). Sometimes those links break because they're always off-site links, or sometimes the store I've linked to isn't in your country. That's why I also have a giant page of places to shop all over the world, which you can find here: www.humblebeeandme.com/resources/. It doesn't have every country in the world, but it does contain all the online stores I know about. If your country isn't listed, that's because I don't know about any online stores in your country. You could try looking for a local Facebook group for people who like making soap & other cosmetics-they may be able to recommend places to shop.

    I'd say the long-wear one wears better, while this formulation can be used in a mold (the long wear one does not work with this mold). If you don't have a mold I'd start with the long wear lipstick in the book ❤️ The ingredients for the book formulations are also really useful throughout the whole book, which is another point in the "pros" column for starting there. I have a question! (yeah another ) is it possible to make something for the lips but with wine as the active ingredient? not necessarily whine but something with the color and the antioxidant properties and all that good stuff

  • @HumblebeeAndMe

    @HumblebeeAndMe

    5 жыл бұрын

    If you could find a cosmetic grade ingredient or active derived from wine you could use that, but you really shouldn't use plain wine on its own-it will spoil, and that would be gross.

  • @SongbirdGaming

    @SongbirdGaming

    2 жыл бұрын

    What about grapeseed oil for the antioxidants and some red berry liquid dye fro TKB combined with some wine-colored micas? Wine is water soluble and like Marie pointed out, it spoils, so using real wine wouldn’t work well. It might be possible to make a lip scrub or lotion that contains grape skin extract, but it’s water soluble so would require emulsifying and preservatives. Maybe powdered GSE could be included in a powdered clay mask like the kinds of recipes on Marie’s blog? Just make sure it doesn’t dye your skin red.

    I love this tutorial but I’m having a hard time with my base! I used Rice bran wax instead of beeswax and used candelilla and carnueba wax with a combination of coco caprate, hydrogenated polyisobutene, octyldodecanol, jojoba oil, Shea butter and a few other oils. The base has now hardened but when I use my finger to test the consistency it feels a bit crumbly (more like flaky) almost as if I’ve added mica powders and didn’t stir (just an example, I didn’t add any micas yet), what could be the reason?? I’ve looked ALL over to find an answer and I cannot find one! Please help lol!!!

    Thanks for the heads up up on that. I have a lot of micas and oxide and trying to stick with ingredients that are natural. Can you direct me towards a blend where I can create a strong hard lipstick that yet goes on smooth just like store-bought and I can use my Micas and oxides to create the colors. I don’t like Matte I like full color with shimmer. Also is this the best way to ask you questions. I know you’re super busy creating however you’ve become a pioneer in lipsticks for me!

    Hi there, been testing around with your recipe and the base work great. But after I applied the color pigment and storage, it started to grow grey mold all over the lipstick. I suspect is the water droplet formed on my lipstick after I remove the lipstick from the fridge, because it is still cold. I tried to place a water absorber beside the lipstick and it still started to get mouldy. Any idea?
