How to Make Cut Roses Last Longer
Valentine's Day is officially here and if you received roses I am here to tell you they can still bring joy and beauty to your home for weeks to come. With proper care, roses can last longer and continue to bloom. Here are some tips to keep your roses looking their best:
🌹 Trim the stems: Cut 1-2 inches off the bottom of the stems, making sure to cut at an angle.
🌹 Change the water: Regularly change the water in the vase to prevent bacteria growth. Insider tip, roses love warm water.
🌹 Provide adequate sunlight: Place your roses in a well-lit room, but not in direct sunlight.
🌹 Keep the temperature cool: Roses like cooler temperatures, so keep them away from heat sources.
🌹 Fertilize: Add flower food to the vase water to help your roses last longer and it will steralize the water.

I had 2 dozen long stemmed roses last me 3 weeks by cutting stem ends and changing water every 2 to 3 days ...I was shocked and very very amazed to watch these buds bloom and open up to look like layers and layers of deep red ruffles like the skirts of a Flamenco Dancer!
Those packets do not work, cloudy water after 2 days

My roses last 7 to 10 days without me doing any of that. They actually last me over two weeks depending.

I put bentonite clay in the water, amazing how they look in 4 days.
So if you can only use the packet for the first day then what do you put inside the water every other day when you change it? To keep the bacteria away
