Talking to a professional sofa reformer, he gave me some tips and offered to help me with the renovation. Great job, nice video, g Ad people can see how much work it takes just to change the centre insert on a door panel. Customers always tell me that its just a small piece of cloth in the centre to be changed, they think it can be done in 30mins

@@olegzw857 I personally would like to change the leather inserts in my Honda Accord as they're ripped. And also fix the driver seat in my Q60 that's kind of ruff and an eye sore since interior is light. I just figured door panels would be easy so I clicked here first lol

It's a lot easier and rougher than I expected.

Nice job, great video. I need to finish doing this to my E24. Changing (slowly) the tan interior to black. Started with replacing the stock seats with black Vader seats from a late 90s model M3 and removing all the other trim from the car to paint/repair it... that was a few years ago.

This is great tutorial how door panels are done! I work in a workwear factory, so for me the sewing is not a problem but I cannot see the screws you are using. I see that you drill a hole in the plastic and put some special type of screw? I hope that I can find similar ones here and finish my door panels in my Alfa 156. :) Good work!!! Thanks!

These are not special screws. Out of curiosity, what adhesive did you use? Have been wanting to do this with a synthetic suede with a rubber backing but the only thing holding me back is I don't know what adhesive to use. This is fantastic!

Comprei um Vectra 94 e os forros das portas estavam péssimos. Levei ao "mais famoso" capoteiro da Cidade e ele ao ver os forros das portas afirmou: "Esse serviço vc não vai achar ninguém que faça!". Fiquei frustrado e voltei pra casa desanimado, pois, onde é que eu iria encontrar alguém para reformar os forros e eu gosto muito do meu automóvel. O tempo foi passando e num certo dia conheci um reformador de estofados de casa (Augusto) ao qual comentei o problema dos forros do meu automóvel e ele pediu para ve-los. Aí ele analisou os forros e disse: "Eu faço!". Me animei na hora e combinamos valor e ele me pediu uns dias pois, iria comprar os revestimentos. Passados uns 10 dias ele me telefonou e pediu para que eu fosse ve-los e ao chegar quase caí de costas, estavam maravilhosos, ele forrou com um courvin muito parecido com couro, com dois tecidos diferentes, uma maravilha de trabalho, profissional sem igual. Meu automóvel ficou do jeito que eu gostaria e estou muito satisfeito. Afirmo que nem sempre o serviço que vc precisa está nas mãos do "mais famoso", mas SIM daquele que não tem preguiça de aprender e obter êxitos. Sou muito grato ao meu amigo Augusto estofador de sofás que deu um verdadeiro show de profissionalismo!!! GOSTEI MUITO DO SEU TRABALHO, ESTÁ DE PARABÉNS E LHE DESEJO MUITO SUCESSO!!!

+Ronald O'Sullivan Если всю поверхность, то желательно sprühkleber. Но возможно и нормальным клеем. Зависит от дальнейшего применения. Важно учесть, поролон впитывает в себя клей нанесённый кисточкой. Если давить на него, он склеится между собой.

Have a 1992 Dodge stealth that I ordered better door panels for, the only issue the side insert is Tan vs My original Black insert. Is it hard to change out inserts ? I noticed your drilled out the inserts on that vehicle

Материал называется поролон, толщина 5мм . Клей - просто Sprühkleber.

You're likely right that he's using an air staple gun. Likely the staples are 1/4" - very short. Staples seem to be common in auto upholstery into plastic.

Great work. I know this is an older post, but is it possible to go straight over an existing door trim? In my case, they are vinyl and in good order, but I would like to have a darker cover, be it leather/vinyl etc. Thanks in advance for any advice.
