Burned lol
I actually tried this recipe this last Christmas. I've never eaten a Christmas pudding before (I'm not from England and we don't have this tradition over here) but it was delicious and the guests loved it. I'd definitely do it again.

Top tip: My grandfather makes them four years in advance and feeds them brandy on the first of each month. He doesn't get his eyebrows back until March, but it is 10/10 worth it. :)

@@RachelDavis705 I made this last night. I feel like it would be better with 20g of ginger because it was kinda pungent, and I love ginger. Also I will be food processing the fruit next year, because I feel like the rough chop is a bit too chunky. Otherwise I am of the opinion that the flavors mellowed and blended better after sitting overnight than when it was just off the heat, and I definitely recommend making a creme anglaise to further balance the sweetness and relative acidity. It's a fruitcake and as such it's aggressively Christmas flavored, and one I think I could look forward to once a year. 😀
I have been watching you since you were cooking in that little walk-up kitchen about 20 years ago....You never disappointed me then and you still don't....keep it up Jamie....I was there when you got married, when your children were born and with any luck I will still be around when you become a grandfather....Happy Holidays to you and yours....
5:29 minutes of awesomeness and people ask me why I love Jamie Oliver! 💜💙
I'll make one this week-end with my kids. It'll be perfect for chrismas, and I'm happy to share with them this moment, as I use to with my english granny.
That's why I've always loved Jamie Oliver since I was a kid -- doing everything you can with your own hands, screw all those tools and spoons and stuff, just squeeze the lemon with your hands, mix it all together with your hands, love it.

Yet it's a Pudding for a white Christmas?
My most favorite of all! Delicious! Absolutely delicious!
I've been waiting decades for this!
It's like watching those first episodes I ever saw of Jamie cooking, only better! How old was I, 11? Been waiting for something like this! Authentic and very entertaining, and of course great food! It's the same, only better and more seasoned! So happy to see it! I've never had Christmas pudding but I might start this year. More important than ever to share traditions between countries! :D Food is love!
Brilliant!
Phenomenal! I absolutely adore this! Thanks!

Oliver, you are fenominal!
Thank you for the recipe. I cooked one for New Years following your recipe with a little variation. I traded milk for wine 😉♥️ it came out beautiful on the outside and very deli in the inside! We (5of us) ate le last bites of it yesterday! So, thanks again Jamie! Have a great year! ♥️

Love ❤️ this recipe especially because it has no added sugar. It’s sweetened with fruits only. Jamie what I love the most about your methodology is the forget tools and gadgets: use the good old 🖐!! Thank you 😊
Wow super sonic fantastic recipe Thank U so much for your great lovely video 🙏👌🤩🤗🥰😘
Excellent! I have made it several times yet. Very tasty!
very very very very happy new year to you, happy new year 2019
Wow! My British bloodline side of the family made this every year, but it was called "fruitcake" & served without the cream, & addition to the mix of finely chopped pecans (grown locally) & as they were strict Protestanrs on that side (Methodists) sadly there was no alcohol burn. 🥰thank you for sharing this, @JamieOliver. I have always wondered where she got her recipe. She also put in spices, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg & vanilla bean. (She took that recipe to her grave! lol We had ingredients but she would not reveal amounts.) I was told when I was younger that my fruitcakes tasted most like hers. She wrapped in foil after topping with apple slices to prevent drying, & kept them in the root cellar so we enjoyed it until spring. What a wonderful memory this evoked. Thank you again for sharing. I have already passed my recipes on to my children, & as grandchildren as they grow older.
Absolutely amazing recipe!! Great job, excellent presentation, and looks delicious!!🌲🧑🎄☃️🎁🎀🎉 👍💯👌💝👏 Thanks for sharing it!! Merry Christmas to all of you!!😍
I made this pudding this Christmas...and it was just perfect...everyone loved it so much and are asking when am I going to make it again.

Love me some crystallized ginger!
what a lovely video
Love a nice bit of Christmas pud! got to be with custard or brandy sauce. Even when i'm bursting at the seams, there's always a little room for it. Makes a good ice cream too if you have leftovers (leftover Christmas pudding said no one ever)

Gonna be doing this recipe for sure! Although for the alcohol I'll be using my grandads ancient chef's spoon... It's a family thing ;-)
I once forgot to switch the pan with veg oil... and the flame looked pretty like this... in fact I wouldn't like to repeat that since I'm not a professional))) all the rest is amazing, thanxx
Hi Jamie, Nice One from another Essex Boy. All the Best Brian 🤗
Love it
My Grandma has an Aga and so whenever we make them in about september, it goes in the aga overnight and what comes out is the most amazing rich, treacle-black pudding you ever could get - recipe is a good housekeeping one from the 1950s
Gawd that looks awesome! My Scottish grandmother used to serve it with a “hard sauce” made from dark brown sugar, butter, and Drambuie. It’s been almost 40 years since I had it... I still taste it in my dreams. 🤤
I wasn't expecting that flame 🔥😂
Its December 2023 so I need to plan this for Christmas 2024 because I live in Asia now and it is a challenge to get all the ingredients. It took six months just to get the spices for the Christmas cake I just made.
Super!
Nice !! Oh I was gonna say where's the rum ... But there you have it lol 👍🏻😂
Very interesting
looks abso DELISH, Jamie! And easier that it would seem. Who knew?
Yaaaammmmmmmm
