How to Make Chicken Musakhan Rolls - THE CHEF YASO
Chicken Musakhan Rolls
Ingredients:
• 3 chicken breasts
• 2 large onions
• 1 pack markouk bread
• ½ cup sumac
• ¼ cup pine nuts
• ½ teaspoon Seven Spice Blend
• Olive oil
• Salt to taste
• Pepper to taste
Steps:
• Start off with boiling your chicken (I like to add salt, cardamom, bay leaf and cinnamon stick to the water)
• Leave the chicken boiling for about 40 minutes on medium heat
• Dice the onions into small pieces
• In a pan add a good amount of olive oil and then add in your onions until translucent (if onions are drying up keep adding olive oil)
• Once chicken is boiled, shred your chicken and add it with the onions
• Pour in the sumac, seven spice blend, salt and pepper and mix well
• Cut your markouk (shrak) bread into triangles
• Add in your chicken and onion mix and roll the bread
• In a bowl, mix olive oil with sumac and brush each roll
• Place in oven at 350 F until golden brown
