In this video I give away my quick and simple 3 ingredients cheese paste recipe so you can have a go at making this great winter chub bait. I then head out to the river to test it and land a BIG chub!!

great video mate well done. when i make my paste I put a couple of good dollops of philadelphia garlic and chives in the mix.

Thanks! Hope to bring some more chub vids out over the winter. Looking like a bit of pike fishing next though....

Excellent fish, very well done. I just use Seriously Spreadable or Dairylea mixed with mashed bread. I do make far more than you as that little lump would only supply 3-4 baits for me.

Many thanks! That interesting, I have added soft cheese in the mix before but as a substitute for butter. I used to go for bigger lumps but have started fishing smaller pea size amounts as I caught some nice roach like this last winter.

@@riverfossfishing Interesting. I know roach like a bit of cheese, but all I caught on the small baits was little chublets.

@@riverfossfishing I've nearly always used cheese spread. It used to be Rowntrees Cheddar Spread or Milkana mixed with white bread crumb.
