Fishing videos for your entertainment! Going out regularly on the local rivers, but also around further away, this channel documents the sessions and fish caught. I try to fish often overlooked spots to see what fish live in the rivers that might have never been caught before. I aim to upload every week and hope you enjoy watching. Consider subscribing to see varied fishing videos of all species on many venues!

Great video 👌Cracking little stretch that great for trotting with the pin.
looks like a p.b my lad 🤣🤣👍👍😁🫤
Nice video, if you don’t mind me asking which bite alarms are you using
Your videos are great. I really enjoy watching your videos. Wishing you lots of health and success
You actually missed the best part.... the bream on the Ouse feed much better after dark.
The reel doesn't sound right
CRACKING session pal! 🔥🎣
Thanks!
Been enjoying your videos after a mention on John’s Hooked Channel. I used to live in Selby and enjoyed this kind of fishing back when I lived in the area. Even though I now predominately fly fish, it’s nice to watch people’s other adventures in this kind of fishing and see some familiar looking places & some cracking fish. Lovely videos too 👍
Thanks for watching! I have a few fly vids to edit...
River Nidd? Skip Bridge?
some top fishing there mate , well done and I admire your perseverance. But hey ho you've got to be in it to win it. 👍💪🎣🎣🎣
Hiding under the brolly was worth it on a session like this.
That first fish in that weather. Excellent work.
Just about managed to stay dry!
cracking little video buddy. Some nice Fish as well. Weather has been absolutely crazy lately. Like today nice and sunny and then tomorrow forecast heavy rain. Absolutely crazy. But yes, well done young man and all the best. 👍😁🎣
Cheers thanks a lot, some settled weather would be great!
This is not the river foss this is the river nidd at skip bridge bud
he never says its the foss
@@dpmaspam I know he didnt but a lot of people dont know that. Like you I to want to fish the river foss and where to fish so it wouldnt hurt to state where he's fishing and what club or book has the waters
Why so everyone can ruin the place
@@user-rh2ns1vb9i If your'e a good angler you leave the place in the codition that you find it or even take any rubbish you find. NO PROBLEM
Awesome footage buddy. I have been meaning to to get on the foss can it be fished on a day ticket
Nice review. Looks good. Do you still use it?
Another good no nonsense river foss video! Would like to see more of your rigs particularly hook length attachment & length on float set up & other rigs in general! Look forward to the “ foss” way on next one! Like the hat 🎩
Cheers! I did a couple of shorts on how I set up the rigs, so check them out. I basically use those two simple set ups and scale the hardware up for barbel.
What club has rights on here please
Nice to catch one on float intentionally. They normally only turn up when fishing for other, smaller, species.
Very seldom I fish these rivers with the float for anything other than barbel. But it can be very hit and miss!
Fantastic video. Can I ask, what rod do you use for trotting for the barbel? It's some I really want to try just not sure the rods I have are up to stopping them on such a saggy river.
I am using a korum omega float rod for trotting.
@@riverfossfishing What's your thoughts on rod,mine is in post,I'm thinking of ordering the 11ft 6 1.25lb also
Brilliant, video thank you....makes me want to go now, but I've got to work. 😊
Hope you managed a session. Good luck!
Beautifully shot video, really conveyed the essence of fishing those smaller rivers and any barbel is a bonus!
It’s great vid but you need 15lb line on this river it not fair on the fish and the bonus is you don’t loose any.
Great stuff - hoping to head up there one evening this week
Which trout lures do you carry on your box? I am new to BFS and want to try in small streams near Bogota, Colombia. Fished for 20 years almost those rivers on the fly and want to try something new. Blessings!!
Congrats mate!! This remembers me about my bachelor days when living in the UK. Doing FF every 2-3 weeks in trout fisheries around London. Never went to rivers because I was told all waters were private. Nice video mate!! Cheers from Bogota, Colombia.
Ha,ha. Same peg as last year, well done.
Still on a1 pits stretch now since yesterday morning had 3 doubles and one around 5 hope for a few more, hope you all have a great season 🤞🏻
Is there many on a1 mate was thinking going Wednesday
@@leeabbott5338 there’s still pegs available, top end is rammed but a good few past bridge left 👍🏻
Sounds like you're smashing it! Have a good season!
Did it get busy down a1 stretch.
@@my_carp_life3424 yeah was ridiculous mate 🤦♂️
Great video! Well done! It was brilliant to see that big eel, I’m trying for an eel on my local river rye this summer Looking forward to your next outing 😁
The eel certainly explained all the 'chub' bites I had. Good luck targeting them.
Fantastic! Always enjoy your videos.
Thank you very much!
Not a bad start at all. I'm about to head down there now.
Can't complain with a couple of barbel. Hope it goes well for you!
@@riverfossfishing I'm just trotting maggots for whatever.
Congratulations mate were up on Saturday for 2wks and then another 3trips. TightLines All start making those memories and remember be safe 🎣
Cheers! Good luck!
❤ Fantastic fishing.Very thanks.
Cheers!
Awesome video and awesome fish! Barbel seem like such cool creatures. I pin for steelhead in the great lakes and it’s just about the most fun thing ever. Always feel like you’re 1on1 with the fish, and I’ve even had some fish run so hard they bloody my knuckles!
I would love to give that a go, they look like they fight like crazy!
Poor quality spring. Will break.
Everything breaks eventually, that's why you have to maintain them. 10 months later and still going strong with me!
Great video, well done.
Glad you enjoyed it
Surprised to see you casting and working downstream. I always work upstream with spinners and small crankbaits. Trout face upstream and if you end up wading in the stream, you are casting in your washout.
Love it!!!
Great to see you back have a fish full season
Really glad to see you post a new video. Awesome trout there. Looks a nice place to go fly fishing. Look forward to future videos 👍
Cheers, got another three trout vids to come. I just need to edit them!
This channel deserves way more subs & views. Great, thank you
Thanks! Growing slowly and organically. I am not really good enough at pleasing the KZread algorithm, and make content I like rather than what is popular.
Glad to see you back. Great filming as ever and some really nice fish. Surprising how some little streams hold some great fish. Hope to see some more soon.
Thanks very much. Small streams are always my favourite for this reason. They throw up some real surprises when you least expect it!
Nice to see you back. Your videos are always such high quality. Some great footage here. Not had a go at fly fishing yet, but this is very inspiring. Currently trying to get to grips with lure fishing at the coast, but this looks like a fun future adventure.
There are some great fly fishing videos out there if you do get into it. The places you get to fish is also a real bonus, some amazing remote rivers where you are the only angler for miles!
Well done on some nice fish. That first beck does throw out some nice fish if you can keep them out of the tree roots. I do hope you did well on that last river as it has defeated me on many occasions.
Thanks! Next vid will be all about 'that last river' so keep an eye out for that...
Fantastic job Ewan 😊
Thank you! Cheers!
Big is great …. Small is beautiful …. All are welcome 👍👍 Enjoy your fishing buddy 👍👍🎣🎣😄😄
Absolutely! These small trout are often nicer looking than their larger friends.
Hi missing your content have you stopped permanently.
Slowly releasing more from now on.... Mostly fly fishing for trout.
You lucky bugger! I have the Glide and love it, but after this I’ll be buying the Omega. I also just purchased the All Rounder 3K so I can’t wait to give that a go. Great video!
It's a brilliant float barbel rod. Made for it I'd say! Should have bought a lottery ticket that week too!
Can you still buy tfg centre pin
Unfortunately not... Second hand only now.
Have you ever caught a Barbel from the River Foss?
Ah I am not sure anyone has, and not for lack of trying!
Good to see your passion and care with your catches thank you
Thanks for watching!
