    Hi there, for this recipe we would actually recommend to use a fresh powdered starter for each new batch.

    @@luvelelife same for soy also- fresh packet or can I use existing once i make it? thats my next effort (and PS LOVE my cashew yogurt- first time Friday and its perfect!)

    Hi I don't keep white sugar in my home. The closest I have is coconut sugar, honey and erythritol. Pls let me know which will work. I'm excited to try this recipe tonight!

    Hello, just wondering why the cashew milk doesn’t get heated on the stove then cooled before the starter is added like the macadamia and almond milks do to make the other nut yogurts?

    Hi there, good question, our cashew yogurt doesn't have any thickener added so heating (which activates the thickener) isn't required. Unlike other nuts, cashews just become naturally thick and cream.

    I'm going to try this. I've made three batches of soy yogurt in a different yogurt maker, and two have come out with pink on top. I understand that's pretty dangerous.

    Okay, I just made this and sterilized everything, even a couple of my fingertips, yikes. I'll make sure my next apartment has a dishwasher with a sanitize cycle.

    Hi there, the sugar if the the good bacteria to eat, we find they like this the most and by the end of the incubation there will be on sugar left, it all gets consumed.

    Hi there, thanks for your question. The easiest way is to boil your kettle and carefully pour the hot water over the container and lid.

    Don’t you have to strain the cashew milk? When I make mine it’s still very grainy and I have to strain it like almond milk?

    Hi there, we strain the grainy pulp at the start of the video, when we make the cashew nut milk. This then gives you a smooth and creamy yogurt texture.

    @@luvelelife Thanks for your response, I’ve watched the video again and there is no straining shown. Blend cashews and water add starter culture and pour into yoghurt maker. I’ve read the recipe on the website which confirms the same, but advises to soak cashews longer.

    I am sorry, that was my mistake, I want getting it confused with another recipe. I have double check with our recipe creator and cashew yogurt work well without straining. Cashews create a smooth creamy texture that is not grainy from our experience. If you give this a try we would love to get your feedback.

    @@elliejay-uk yea mine came out grainy too :-( will try to soak it longer. I did 4 hours. It seemed to need a little more water as well.
