How to Make ARCANE Cupcakes - Caitlyn x Vi from League of Legends | Feast of Fiction

RECIPE:
For the Lavender Earl Grey Cupcake
Ingredients
½ cup whole milk
5g earl grey tea or your tea of choice
1⅓ cup all purpose flour, sifted
1 tsp baking powder
A pinch of salt
½ cup butter, softened/room temp
170g sugar
2 eggs, room temp
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F, and prepare baking tin with cupcake liners
2. In a saucepan, infuse milk and earl grey tea over high heat.
3. Remove from heat the moment a boil forms, and let tea steep for about 20 minutes. Then, strain loose tea leaves/bags. Set aside to let cool. [Earl grey infused milk]
4. In a medium separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and pinch of salt. Set aside. [Dry ingredients]
5. Using a stand mixer with paddle attachment (or a hand mixer with a large bowl) on medium speed, combine butter and sugar until fluffy, about 3-5 minutes. Since the yield of the recipe is small, some butter can be caught at the bottom of the mixing bowl before it’s incorporated with the sugar. Ensure to scrape.
6. Then, individually add each egg on medium speed, ensuring to scrape the bowl after mixing.
Decrease the speed to low, and incorporate half of our dry ingredients until just combined. Emphasis on “just combined” as over mixing will cause the cupcakes to not rise properly
7. Add in our Earl grey infused milk, mix until just combined. Then, add in the remainder of dry ingredients until combined.
8. Fill the cupcake liners to about ¾ full, and bake for about 15-20 minutes. Test if a cupcake is ready by pricking with a toothpick, checking if it comes out cleanly. Otherwise, bake for an additional 1-2 minutes.
9. Remove cupcakes from the pan, and set aside to cool. We want the cupcakes to cool completely, otherwise the frosting will melt and slide right off of the cupcake.
10. Frost on the lemon buttercream, add a maraschino cherry and voila!
For the Lemon Buttercream Frosting
Ingredients
1 cup butter, softened
4 ½ cups powdered sugar, sifted
1 lemon juice
1 lemon zest
Good dye
Maraschino cherries
Directions
1. Whip butter with a mixer on medium speed until whipped and fluffy, about 5 minutes.
2. Incorporate powdered sugar, zest, and food coloring, and mix on low. Slowly incorporate lemon juice as it mixes. Mix until combined.
**Tip: make sure to scrape butter off the bottom of the bowl to incorporate.
3. Then mix on medium for approximately 3-4 minutes until buttercream consistency is achieved
**Tip: if the buttercream splits, try adding in more powdered sugar. You want stiff peaks. Depending on the size of your lemon, adjusting may be required.
For the Hextech Gemstone…(recipe from our Genshin Impact Kokomi video)
The variation to this recreating our version of Hextech Gemstone vs. Kokomi video would be the yield amount, incorporation of shimmer (not the shimmer Silco uses to control the undercity pls, just edible glitter), as well as the mold we poured it into. The directions to cook it remain the same.

Ingredients
3.5g agar agar
119g cool water
204g sugar
1 tsp of desired flavoring
Edible glitter
Blue food coloring
Directions
1. Cook the candy per recipe. Recap: combine agar agar with water, let sit for 5 minutes. Heat to a simmer, continually stir, and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add in sugar, continually stirring and cook for 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.
2. Add flavoring, blue food coloring and a dash of shimmer, and swirl.
3. Pour candy into half sphere molds, and allow to set in the fridge for about 2 hours.
4. Remove from molds, and stack the half spheres on top each other to create a full sphere. Let cure in room temp to desired texture. The longer you cure, the crispier the outer layer is
**Tip: Make sure to check on the candy occasionally. If you find it sliding off of each other often, use parchment paper to soak up excess moisture on the flat side and reshape.

"Cause you're sweet, like a cupcake!" Is one of my favourite lines in the whole season! Hahaha. I ship them so hard!
Arcane was so hecking good I binged it all in one night. Everything from the animation to the music to how the characters arcs were written was so iron clad, I'll be shocked if it doesn't win any awards. I can't recommend it enough to people.

I couldn't agree more. The humor and intensity were so on point too. And holy crap that art!! 🤤 I only have one complaint about the art and it's because I'm a nitpiciy artist myself. I felt like the smoke never quite fit with the rest of the art. Whenever there was smoke it felt like it was drawn in a different style and didn't mesh well. But that's a matter of personal opinion. Objectively, as far as I could tell, it was pretty damn near perfect.

@@imphie oh god do I ever know. After that one episode... you know the one. Well I'll put it this way, I have only ever cried harder once, and that was when my mom died from cancer and I didn't get to say goodbye. She even asked for me and I was being blocked from coming to see her. I've also been very disabled for the greater part of the last 10 years from a very painful disease I was born with, had my hip replaced, so many sores in my mouth I couldn't swallow let alone eat or drink (was one day from needing a feeding tube and it is the most painful thing I have ever been through) I've been abused in more than 10 relationships, and I had a max of 5 friends throughout my entire childhood... combined... not always people who went to my school, spending most of it ostracized and shunned for being different and disabled. My parents divorced while I was very young, my mom was mentally and emotionally abusive (we were able to work everything out as adults before she got sick and we got really close) and after I was forced to pick which parent I wanted to live with (I picked dad because of the aforementioned abuse and my dad baing more flexible about us seeing mom than mom was about us seeing dad while with them) because I didn't pick mom, instead of making the most of her time with us (I'm a mom now myself and that's what I would have done) she just packed up and fled. We found out we had a sister because we saw them on TV... in a different country... anyway, all of that and I still have not cried as much, besides when my mom died, as the end of that episode... where Jinx became Jinx. I full on broke over that. I couldn't keep watching for a couple of days no matter how much I craved to see what happened. I just couldn't put myself through that again.

Try replacing milk with soy milk - soy milk has a ton of protein, so it’ll help retain the structure of the cake. And any choice of vegan butter! If you find your dough a bit more runny that desired, add it extra flour a little at the time, and mixing just enough till it’s combined. As for the buttercream, replacing with vegan butter should do the trick! If too thick, add in a bit of vegan milk. If too thin, add in more powdered sugar! Good luck 😊
