Awesome video! I am an old fart that started home recording in high school; got a TASCAM 4-track recorder in '95. Hitting my midlife crisis, with music always being relegated to a hobby, I have become really interested in creating sample packs; I might not have the time/energy anymore to dream of making a name for myself in music, but I have always loved the creative side of recording, and this is such a cool way to scratch that itch and maybe hear your work be an ingredient in someone else's masterpiece.

Depends on the vibe of the loop, the goal is to make it sound as good as possible and to create a sound so people keep coming back to your loop packs

So i got eveything up and running in the payhip site eveything went to plan but theres one problem when people download kit its showing blank for some and working fine for other lads is there away to fix it ? 2 outta 5 have problems downloading.cheers boys keep it lit

@@KREOGHOSTOFFICIAL the only problems we ran into with this sort of thing is people trying to download from a country that didn’t support payhip or dodgy downloads, but i’m not sure why so many of them would be having issues We’d just make sure we emailed the zip folder to whoever couldn’t download it

Appreciate that bro thank you 🔥yeah I'm in Ireland and most my downloads are in Ireland too and I personally had no issues downloading it myself it's kinda confusing but I think it might have something to do with winrar and people not having winrar when they download the kit.does it need to be zipped yeah

not sure if you can do it on canva, but on final cut I downloaded a free 'handheld preset' and dragged that onto the image to make it move. I use that effect all the time it's great!

How does the whole collecting emails from Payhip to Mailchimp work? I’m lowkey confused lol Is that even something I should worry about before I release a kit?

There is a place in payhip where you can connect your mailchimp account so that all the emails aer collected into a little database, however don't let that stop you from getting your music out to the world, that's the most important thing!

I'm trying to upload a free loopkit but Payhip doesn't let me upload a file bigger than 100mb bro:( Is there a way to get around this?

you can upload a text/document file that has the link to a Dropbox/Google drive with the kit.

do you need to own the one shots used in the loops?

Nah usually not bro, most one shots in kits are royalty free, but it wouldn’t harm in double checking the one shot terms to make sure you’re good to use them in your own sample kit

I've been in the process of making drum kits. I use Sytrus plus my own voice for kick drums snares hi hats plus free plugins. I also do graphic design. I'm waiting to design plugins.

Im a little confused on why we need a Rekognise link. Why can't you just put a link to your payhip in the description and have it take you straight to the pack? Is the rekognise link just so you can collect email subscribtion, etc?

You send starters to other loop makers and then they can complete the idea. This is a great way to collab with other talented loop makers. And a loop is obviously the final product that is used by producers and can have drums put straight onto it. Often times a loop may be added to, pitched, half-timed and messed around with by the producer. Hope that makes sense G 👊

do producers really prefer one long mp3/wav file with all the stems, instead of a folder with all the stems? wouldn't it be quicker to drag and drop 4 layers at once than to have to cut each stem out of the one?

We’re not fully sure what producers prefer. I’m sure doing it your way would work as well, but i think as part of a being a loop-maker, how you structure your samples is an important part of the sample itself which people are attracted to, and then there is also the option there for the stems if they want them.

@@internxtional_ thanks for responding! I usually bounce a structured form mp3 and then include the stems as wav in a folder. But there's no reason not to just have the stems at the end of the structured mp3 as well. Give everybody what they want
