Watching these videos gives me the idea. Instead of buying super expensive cook appliances I can build my own with sheet stainless and tubes. And one thing I've found seasons a steel pan or griddle is coffee beans. Roast some on it and you'll end up with a dynamite non-stick sear. I did it on my carbon steel wok and finally after trying so many times with peanut and canola the pan is now non-stick. Thanks!

I enjoyed watching this video. If there is any room for improvement, I suggest adding main valve before the three valves, so the three can be open first, then the electronic ignition is used only once to light up the 3 burners. without sacrificing the individual control of each burner.

Awesome project! You're going to make me build one of these and a wok station too. Been thinking about doing it but your videos might have just pushed me over the edge lol. Quick question about leveling the grill. Your's looks really level judging by the way the egg spread on the grill. Doesn't look like you have any issues with pooling of the oil either. Did you make sure it sat level before you started cooking or did you just set it up and run it? Also what are you using to catch the oil when it drips from the trough? You're damn good at building these. I'd highly recommend getting yourself a TIG welder. DC only TIGs aren't that expensive and it will really take these builds to the next level. Thanks for the videos

what he is using is a mig/gas welder probably mig/aron or mig/carbon dioxide. This is doable at home but tanks are hard to move. There is another kind of mig welding called mig flux core welding which does not need gas. This is your better option. This option does not require tanks and flux core welders are cheap to purchase and can be bought at home depot. Lowes. or even harbor freight

Andrew Kiggundu I watched his burner making video before this, he drilled those on the reducer to attempt better airflow (oxygen induction) during testing stages and it didn't seem to further improve anything so I think he just decided to not drill the others, from what I gathered in that previous video. He went on to explain different sizes holes and propane ratios etc

I ha ea question. I ha e never messed with changing anything over to lp. I have a wolf 48" griddle. They won't sell me a conversion kit for it to make it lp fr natural gas. To me I don't see why I can't just remove the gas valve and I stall something like this. I am not sure how to figure out propane valve size . I don't know about adding more burners in a row without a certain valve type. Any help would be appreciated I would like to not blow anything up which is why I ha ENT just guessed at it..

  • @jamescole6846

If you watch his other video on making the burner he was experimenting trying to get the flame to burn blue. Drilling the holes in the reducer to let more air in had little effect. Changing the size of the hole in the gas tube nipple to 1.2mm I believe was the trick. He just left it that way probably because he did not have another one. He did say that depending on the size and length of the tube and the way you cut the slits that 1.2mm may or may not work for your application you will just have to experiment with several. 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 etc ... BTW Yes I am building one of these.

The tools he used to builds this are very affordable. The "standard home owner" now days might get lucky and have a hammer and a couple screw drivers. However the typical DIY Guy or Gal more than likely has all the tools he used on this project. The welder might be the only exception. However a super affordable welders on the market that would make quick work of this project.
