For the super sport rubber, I bought it on ebay.com but don't see it there anymore. I think that ultimately it came from here www.faimodelsupply.com/produc... . Alternatively, search on google.com for "fai tan super sport rubber".

I made this 3 years back, as a part of my TOM project, showing this as a 6 links mechanism. Fun part is, out of nowhere, today I got this video as my first recommendation on the feed 😂😂😂. I just came here to comment, KZread algorithm is high since last few days 😂😂😂

@@AdityaSingh-kw8bi Just try with a high tensile strength rubber band. The more the pre rotations, the longer the flight. The rubber band quality makes a lot of difference. You can also can do by merging multiple bands together, but then you will run into problem of them fusing together. Just apply some oil or powder while using multiples, to avoid fusion.
THANK YOU FOR EXPLAINING HOW TO MAKE THAT KRANK! No one else seems to understand it is the most difficult part of the plane. My search for knowledge ends here!

Yeah, it's hard to believe all these years we've been suffering along with low rubber content regular rubber bands. This stuff is a world of difference.

This has got to be the most popular video of how to make an ornithopter. It is amazing!
This man should’ve been our physics and math professor so we can actually understand wth was going on during those classes and we actually learn the application of formulas and that protector!

Finally there is a KZread channel which really give measurements of the components

Well, I want to make it as easy as I can for others to enjoy making their own ornithopters, so I figured I'd better include the measurements. I'm glad to appreciated it. Thanks for watching!

What a wonderfully weird little machine! Regardless of the potential (or lack thereof) for practical applications, this definitely qualifies as *extremely* funky! Thanks so much for posting!
Finally an excellent explanation with dimension and no hinting stuff. It is a simple toy however, a lot of engineering on it. Great job.
Very detailed tutorial, the SI units are also a great plus, kudos
wow, I can't wait to go get the supplies, that flight paper is amazing
This is one of the best instructional videos I've ever seen, thank you.
Most well done instructional video on YT. Congrats and thank you!
Such a beautiful engineering! Appreciate your brilliant efforts. So much work but so easily and neatly explained.
This is a beautiful piece of art and craftsmanship .. I love the protractor for degree!
the best demonstration and guidelines I have seen so far.
Gorgeous flight! Beautiful craft. I loved the fuel!
Esto es UP DT 😎👍
Thank you for doing this. I find the deep detail you go into very helpful.
This Demo/Instuction was great! Fantastic!👍👍👍
Brilliant. Detailed. Great craftsmanship.
Now that's cool. I might even be able to follow these instruction. Thank you.
wonderful project. love how the bird keeps flapping after landing. very natural!
This is really amazing. There is some hard work in it but worth it. I will try to make this definitely.
I like the idea of wrapping in cotton thread and super glue it all over! Makes for a very strong and light support...
Wonderful project and so well explained! I will try to make on this summer! Thank you so much!
Nice project to spend quality time with family, I strongly suggest more videos like this one.👍👍👍
Simply. Brilliant.
Coolest small project I've ever seen!great job!
Thank you for using Imperial measurements. that is what we were taught in school in the 80's I can convert them over to metric, I have learned how to do that using Google but, it just makes it easier. Thank you!👍

That was so much fun to watch!!! 😏 Next time my granddaughter has a science project, I will definitely recommend this. Thanks.
Man i love this video, it was so easy to follow the instructions cuz his voice was clear and went by slowly, plus all the measurements were put on screen so i paused the vid for it

Wow! Sounds like a lot of fun! If you send me photos some of your flights or even just of your ornithopters then I'll put them up on my webpage here rimstar.org/science_electronics_projects/ornithopter_rubber_band_type.htm. If you send me enough photos then I'll start a new page under it. Also send me anything you want to say on the page (including any credits, links to your own ornithopter pages). My email address is at the bottom of the webpage. In any case, I'd love to see them. Awesome stuff!
