I am on my first playthrough and I have looked up so many damn beginner build videos/ early game builds to help me understand what was at first incredibly complicated/ overwhelming amount of game mechanics that honestly made me feel like a neanderthal. Whai I really like about this game - and as you pointed in this video, is the fact that I don't have to grind my way to that powerful build I wanna make. I always play on Death March, I enjoy the story and all I have to do is follow the quests, do them according to my current level (or slightly lower) so I get the most experience. Crowns will come because I like to loot, don't need to worry about that gold or crafting materials as long as I explore.

A tip I use regarding early game armor: Medium armor as much as I can + griffin tech for fighting monsters. Switch to a “human” set as needed. Example: temarian set + cat tech. Or the milf guardian armor + gloves obtained early from house of respite + aldur boots obtained from saving elf lady in burning house in velen area

I completed the game before and had an OP Emporia build. Using Ursine set. I moved to NG+ but haven't touched it since. I'm torn about starting a new game or just go into NG+ i want to make a sign only build. But I don't have any Griffin made and I'm already in NG+ should I just continue NG+ or restart?

Hmm not really sure, if you mean so you can gain access to another set ability ursine, wolf or even griffin could work depending on how you want to support it. The new abilities on wolf would probably be best because bleeding will best support melee, at least before you get all additional skill slots.

It just doesn't really add much, it's fine to use, but the actual times where there are enough enemies for it to give you a meaningful increase to damage are few and far between.

This is a really good guide for new players. It goes into depth about a lot of things. It's not just a combat build guide but also goes into early play through. One thing I would say is that if you want to progress fast, then save manually as much as you can. If you want to be a completionist like me, then you should have 3 to 4 manual saves that you change every hour. I like to have all my quests objectives in green and no failed quests, so I might go back to an older save if it's got red parts in the quests. Sometimes, if you explore too much, you end up finishing the quest or a part of it. That means that you are not afraid to spend more than 300 or maybe 600 hours to make sure everything is fully done. If I were an expert, maybe 250 hours.

They build up each time you attack and at their basic level, only increase raw sword damage, however you can use other skills to cause a variety of other effects, such as resurrection, increasing sign damage, critical hit chance and a bunch more stuff.

Gotta correct you here man because quen alternative version is the most important thing in early game maybe even in late game too cuz it's the only thing that allows you to heal in combat and it heals the fastest since the most of the enemies on your lvl will almost certainly take down 1/3 of your hp and healing by that mich means a lot

It's definitely not the way to heal in combat not even close. The decoction to heal by damage dealt is much stronger and efficient. But you do you.

Hunter instinct in the next gen update is extremely powerful but for early game acquired tolerance is good, I agree with battle trance here too, synergy is powerful as heck

Basically means your inventory is full and it makes you slower.

Me who has 125 hours to the game and im in the isle of mists quest to find ciri. Im level 31 lol. First playtrought on pc. Bought the game for my pc but i have been playing for this game from 2017 on xbox. I have done almost every quest to now all monster contracts all side quest that i have found, even the "collect em all" quest. I got mutations from blood and wine at lvl 17 its so broken.

If you play on pc and use mods and you can use console commands to get high level gear(use the no level requirement mod) and with the new cross progression feature, you can use your pc save games on ps4/5 and xbox.(you have to link accounts with gog and steam. I think) It's really awesome.

I'm really tired of all those youtubers making videos named "OMG MOST OP BUILD EVER? 1560K DAMAGES IN ONE HIT! MUST TRY" (in all caps of course)

if you dont have the DLC for this game then youre doing yourself a disservice, it should honestly be apart of the actual game. The mutagens in Blood and Wine can change builds massively and without them they are pretty basic, not to mention it adds Witcher set bonuses too.

Challenge for you sir -- make 2 viable builds using the forgotten wolf gear. Using any other armour is preposterous at this point, it's that beautiful. Thanks in advance.
