We cannot wait also for the episode on oiling, varnishing, and synthetic treatments, especially which one has to be applied when depending on the use of the final product! Thanks again Suso!

thanks! the oils treatments are easier to apply, better maintain the color of the wood, penetrate better into the wood so that protect better. Dry faster and do not need compressor or spray gun. I will prepare an explanatory video!

That's only given particular conditions. It's not "volatile" like most solvents. Try to light some linseed oil and see. Yes it will readily burn on a rag and can auto-ignite, but touch a match to liquid oil and it'll wet out the match. So don't believe all you read means exactly what you think it does-even MSDS.

Boiled linseed oil can combust if left on a rag that is crumpled up. This is because it has heavy metal dryers which can cause an exothermic reaction under the right conditions. It's incredibly rare with boiled linseed oil, and even less so with normal linseed. I've actually taken oily rags and put them in a steel bucket to try and get them to combust because i was curious. haven't had it happen tho.

Buenas Suso.

This actually isn't a varnish at all, it's a drying oil. There's no resin so it would not be appropriate for external applications and would not likely be appropriate for musical instruments either.
