Although I love, love, love to watch the big quilt tutorials, small projects are my preference now that we've had to downsize. So this will be a perfect project for me -- so cute. I've bookmarked it so I can refer to it when I'm ready to sew again. Love the fact that you use BabyLock machines since that's what I have. Thank you, Misty, for your videos -- for all the MSQC videos. They can be entertainment for me even if I don't make the projects. :-)

This is a cool bag. A tip to anyone making it: When sewing in the lining to the bag, if your machine has a free arm capability, use that when sewing in lining.

I’ve made so many of these. They were called “origami bags”. We used them as market bags, or you could hang one on your coat rack as a catch all for winter gloves or hats. So fun and easy to make!

Fantastic tutorial x 2 !!! Great job, Misty! I enjoyed seeing these 3 squares come together as a purse and found these handles quite intriguing! I haven’t seen this concept before…but I will be trying it! Thanks, Misty!

Misty this would be adorable as a two tone on the outside of the bag. Like maybe a print and a solid. Can you do a tutorial on making it two toned?

Love this easy bag! Easily adjust handle length to suit user! I have a question…..at point where sewing 3rd square to first 2, and you say it overlaps the seams of first set….do you sew just to 1/4” from edge (which would be to seam line of the first 2 pieces) and backstitch there? Or you sew all the way across that overlap, to edge of the 3rd piece? Maybe it doesn’t make any difference, am thinking to do a smaller sample size to test that first…. Hope i have explained it well enough for you to know what i am referring to!! Thanks for clear, concise tutorial!!
