How to Make an Easy Cupcake Bouquet - Thank You to all the Medical Workers

Cupcake bouquets are so adorable, and everyone loves them! I have made one before in the traditional way with a vase and using toothpicks to attach the cupcakes to a Styrofoam ball. The results were stunning! However, there is another lesser known way to create a cupcake bouquet using cups that is more stable for transporting that I am showing you in this episode. I’m also showing you how I piped these beautiful buttercream flowers directly onto each cupcake. This cupcake bouquet is special because it went to my friends and family member who are medical workers currently on frontlines during COVID-19. If you are considering making a cupcake bouquet, consider making one for an essential worker as they are truly the most deserving during this time! A cupcake bouquet would also be wonderful for Mother’s Day, especially if you are unable to physically celebrate together- perfect for drop off!

Hi these are so beautiful!!! One question though. do you transport them whilst they are open at the top like that? Do you have to cover them?

Hi! Thank you! You could transport them without covering if they would just be going into the car for a bit. Then cupcakes are nestled down in the cup so aren’t very exposed. You could definitely stick a toothpick in each cupcake and put Saran Wrap around the bouquet to cover the whole thing too!

Another good tip is to use large crackpot covering. Like a big shower cap.

Thanks for the video.. it is very helpful..But i have one question, if we make this bouquet the previous night or few hours before the cream may kinda melt.. can er refrigerate the bouquet or what else can be done to avoid melting of the flowers?

If you use American buttercream it will crust and won’t be a problem (just keep out of high heat/sun). You could also pop the completed bouquet into the fridge 🌷❤️

Thank you ! Hmm, I hadn’t run into the issue or transporting a lot of them...maybe make smaller bouquets that would fit into boxes so you could stack them AND definitely bring a passenger to help watch and secure as you drive?

How did the cupcake not stick on the tissue paper? Did you put it on the fridge first to make it firm?

Hi! The buttercream is crusted one the cupcakes, but they are also sitting in the cup which also protects it from the tissue.
