How to make a wooden crate box. Nice DIY wooden box
How to make a wooden box out of the wood I reclaimed from old doors in a previous woodworking video. This DIY crate box is a simple woodworking project that one can make with simple tools and almost from scrap wood. But here I use some of my homemade tools to prepare the strips I need. Of course you can buy the wood with the size you need. In this woodworking project I use 3cm wide by 1cm thick walnut strips. So, this wooden box making is one of those easy woodworking projects for beginners, almost anyone can make in the weekend. And it will also make a very nice wood gift box. If you begin woodworking in 2019, this can be one of your first wood projects.

They're home made. That powertools altogether costs less than 100$.
This was great. I was looking for a simple build. The boxes I need are going to be much larger and need handles built. Your build is a great starting point.
This was great and I love the inexpensive price fir a great look! 3:56

Yes. If we use one of those pallets with thin and narrow slats, we won't have to change the dimensions of the slats to make a nice pallet box :D
molto bello!!
You are AWESOME!

Than you. Sure that way it would look better. I am not happy about how the wood filler paste looks after I have sanded it

@@WoodworkingwithDIYtools use sawdust from the wood you are working with and some glue or a darker filler as the wood will darken a bit over time
Very nice
Thank you

How much would you say it costs to make a crate like this?
This is adorable! I might’ve missed it, but how much did this cost to make? I want to put my bestie’s birthday gift in a crate but I don’t really want to pay $30 just for a box!!! Thanks for the tutorial!

Hi! Can I know the machine like an injector you used for driving the nails please ? Good job.❤️❤️❤️
Great video. Thanks for sharing. This really looks an easy-to-make crate box. Very clever template! What nailer/stapler do you use? Is it electric or connected to a compressor?
@WoodworkingwithDIYtools

Thank you very much Hans. The stapler works connected to an air compressor

@@WoodworkingwithDIYtools Thanks for your reply. I use a cheap electric stapler/nailer from LIDL and I'm, for the time being, quite satisfied with it. I mostly use pine, which is soft. I have some pieces of beech, which is much harder. I should try it on that as well. We do have a compressor now, since a few months. So there are alternatives possible now.

I also have a electric stapler from Lidl, but I hate it because it blocks very easily :(

@@WoodworkingwithDIYtools That's a pity. Till now I did not have problems with it. I'll knock on wood.

Never, ever sand the corners before assembly...

OK. I decided to sand everything before assembling. Too much work. And maybe not the best result
@ZeroTheHeroGOAT

I just realized I sounded very strict there. It was meant as a friendly advice. The idea is that if you sand edges and corners before assembly, you get gaps.
That thing that you put on the nail made it look worse than it was before
@WoodworkingwithDIYtools

I think you mean the wood paste. I should use a darker one, but it is harder to sand than the pine color wood paste

When I recorded this video I was also working in a bakery making bread with my hands, so I should avoid any splinter in my hands. I agree gloves are not for woodworking
