@@bmbcosplay5511 I'll have a think. Its always been the one thing thats put me off custom helmets as I didn't know how to make the visors and was thinking it was going to have to be some sort of custom vacuum moulding id have to do. Im thinking of making a Vulture (Homecoming) costume and the helmet is something I am planning to make and i'm torn between using my 3D printer or making it using a PEP file but there is a visor on this helmet hence me finding this video. The wing part I want to be fully motorised and retractable, wings i've seen many videos on but these wings are particularly problematic due to the solid nature of them. Here is a link to my cosplays, I am mostly known for my Scarecrow costume which really draws the crowds - facebook.com/stueepcosplay/

This is awesome work. What type of eva foam did you use when you made the helmet?
@iruatser2 жыл бұрын
I’ve done a lot of window tinting and I’ve always used a soapy water spray to apply the tint. It allows for some movement as you squeegee the mixture out from between the tint and the surface. Is there a reason you don’t ???

Do you glue the visor in the helmet? What glue do you use for plastic to foam if you do?

These visors actually stay in place with friction and don't require glue. However, when I need to glue them in place, I use a hot glue gun.

Could I wrap an entire eva foam helmet in the window tint? I need the visor's color/texture to look identical to the rest of the helmet and I don't think I could find a paint that matches the window tint. Thanks for the video.

It looks like you might be able to use a grinding face shield as the base/visor, and use the window tint with that. Then you could try to color match the paint to the window tint color.
