How to Make A Sushi Serving Tray with Really Cool Chop Sticks // Easy DIY Woodworking Project

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video I show you guys how to make very simple Sushi Serving Trays with some really unique chop sticks. The Sushi serving trays have sliding dovetails for legs that are very easy to make if you have a router, and some dowels to give the serving trays a little extra touch. Projects like these serving trays are a quick and fun way to supplement all the cutting boards everyone is making. Let me know what you guys think of these and if you would like to get these for Christmas for your family.

    I bought that chopstick jig and have been waiting to use it, need to get a hand plane. I really like the dovetail idea for the legs, definitely going to use that for my boards! I am going to make chopstick rests as well. Great video sir!

    I was totally surprised to see the circles were just decoration and for your daughters - which is totally cool! -- BUT: I'd assumed from just the initial photo that they were kind of clever "indicators" for the places to put the little piles of wasabi and shaved ginger that go with sushi! (That's just 2 things, but the 3rd could be the little dish of soy sauce - so that'd be 3... so maybe that was subconscious design genius! 🙂) Love the project - nice work.

    Bart, I came across your channel recently from watching the overhead garage storage video. Wife and I just bought a new house. I'm building some floating shelves that will hopefully be ready for install on day 1. Your videos have given me some really good ideas, and I'm really hoping to get back in the shop more. All this time at home has brought me back to my favorite pastime. Thanks mate, and keep them coming

    Next time only glue the legs at one side so when the board expands and contracts the legs won't loosen up after time.

    What does "raise the grain" mean?

  • @KomarProject

    @KomarProject

    4 жыл бұрын

    Matthias Vliegen you get them wet and the grain will stand up. Then you sand it again when they are dry and the wood grain will now be rough when you get it wet. Hope that makes sense.

(I'm sorry...couldn't hear the name)Your sushi board is beautiful. I like the dove tails and LOVE the 3 dowels for your girls! I have 3 boys and have always done 3 hearts symbolizing them♡♡♡ I really enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing your expertise! :)
