Thank you. I buy all my supplies from Crispen Leather Supplies in Brisbane. They do online and phone orders. You can also try Tandy Leather Supplies from the states. They order online, too.

where are the typed on screen instruction? What are the names of tools your using, and how to measure. Speed is OK other wise it may get borrowing.

Stitching all around would have made a vast difference, aesthetics are everything in leatherwork. Otherwise a nice job.

Hey, yeah, they're Black Nitrile Gloves; they are stronger than the normal gloves and are better for handling chemicals. :)

This feels like totally unfinished project. You made the whole outside edge with that sticth groove but didnt stitch it also the book holding flaps had a side that you did the groove but not stitch, or did I miss it? Also why didn't you use any polish on top of the dye to give a nice sheen?

Everything you've said is "unfinished" are design decisions that perhaps you would like to see. But as far as a functional book cover, it is finished. I don't like "shiny" covers; I much prefer the matte finish. The groove around the top and bottom edges left "unstitched", has no functional purpose; I just like the look of the line left behind. After some time, the line has darkened with the natural patina of use, and it looks great. It's a lot darker than when it was new and has a subtle accent compared to the darker colour of the leather. The same goes for the line left inside the book on the sleeves. Like I said... it's not unfinished, they're design choices that I prefer. If you make one, you could make it in a design that you like yourself, and I've shown you a simple way to achieve that for yourself. I hope you find the time to have a go yourself.

To was to fast for me to learn the stitching. Needed about five stitching would have been enough. Also would have looked better if stitching went all the way around outside. In my opinion only.

Thanks for the feedback! I haven't looked at this thumbnail in a long time and didn't realised how different the colour is than the project. I'll see if I can take a new photo of it and make a new thumbnail that better represents the true colour. Sorry for misleading you 😢. I'll do better.
