Just an idea: an over the bed table (meant for handicapped ) are narrow and adjust quite high, perfect for drawing and then a small easel when painting...and it's on rollers and easy to ' put aside'

If you wanted to separate your greys in the bottom drawer of your pencil drawers, you could install a piece of cardboard or boxboard vertically along the centre of the drawer and tape it to either end so that it divides the drawer in two. The side of a cereal box or something similar would work, and you could cover it with any kind of paper to cover the printing, or put two pieces back to back so only the grey inner surface of the box is visible. Lovely video. Thank you!

Ihave a sturdy, small table set up in the corner of our small living room - have made a cozy small studio & it works well 4 me. I use a table easel to hold my iPad &/or any reference material I am painting from- have good movable head light that has adjustable spectrum light. I dream about a small studio w/ north windows - however my corner workers very well! Thank you for sharing

Sounds perfect Linda! There’s always the studio of your dreams, but a space to draw in is better than none at all 😊 if you can crack lighting and storage, life becomes much easier!

I feel you. My condo is set up the same yet I’m determined to create a small home studio and make it work. I can use my large balcony during the summer and work form there for now also during the day. Looking forward to become a full-time artist myself. You look great with your hair too. ❤

Table? Desk? Spare room? Sofa? Lol. Don’t have enough space for any of those here. No outdoor space, garage etc either unless you count my parking space - but I doubt the other tenants of my building would appreciate my setting up an easel there between their cars. What I do have is a bedroom that just fits my bed, clothes and some art supplies. And my main room (livingroom/kitchen) with just enough space for two chairs, my microwave, stove, mini fridge, and my sink. Haven’t been able to do any oil or acrylic painting since moving here, but I am slowly setting up to pull out the water colors or pastels. Something small enough I can hold on a tray on my lap. Then set aside when it’s time to eat or do anything else. My pastels are now set up, easily accessible, in small drawers beside my chair. Good tips on lighting. As I go about getting myself set up to do some sort of art in this tiny space, I am enjoying the inspiration I get in your videos.

When there's a will, there's always a way! I think a lot of it is about having a set up that allows you to relax and create, or make a mess, whatever it is you need. I would hang plastic sheets on the wall when we were renting places so I didn't have to worry!

I have the space for it now, but the problem is moving out all of the boxes and organizing it - when we moved here, the garage had a massive flood in it (and it's flooded twice) so though in theory there is plenty of space, I've not been able to get it sorted out properly since there was no where to put the boxes that was dry - and as we are only just moving into spring, it's not been warm enough/dry enough in there to move things as I don't want the items in the boxes to get damaged with damp and mould. I need to get some bookcases in there, too so that I can organise what is left of my books that need sorting. I collect jars for storing pencils, markers, brushes, and for water to clean brushes - I don't understand why people spend a lot of money on fancy storage for them when jars will do.
