Holy Helena Montana where has this been? I have all the hardwear but this remains one of the unfinished projects in my new house. This is exactly what I want for my barn door! Thanks so much! I can't wait to show my son this, and bust this out to impress my 6 brothers .... who are self-proclaimed journeyman carpenters, engineers, and architects even though they spend their days doing taxes, drilling people's teeth, and coaching.

Beautiful work. I am a trained blacksmith. I am going to build the same door! The only thing, if I may say that we liked less and we think it is out of the proportion of the door, is the tiny handle. In my opinion, double the size. That being said, the video, sound, techniques, details, step by step were simply fabulous.

Great video. Easy to follow instructions, tools all DIY'ers actually have, finished edges for once in these videos and a great finished wood product instead of just being painted over. I will use this to build four sliding closet doors with hardware from the old cardboard specials (which I will repurpose as kites or book covers, but not sure if they'll be strong enough to use writing paper). Im also leaning toward making a front door for my condo with plywood on the outside so I can paint it the mandatory uniform colour on the outside, while keeping it as shown on the inside to replace the paper door that each suite has (on my $600k condo the cheap bastards). Obviously the outside frame will need some tweeking for the latch but not a big change). So many possibilities with different wood, stains, location of the door, size which makes this project so handy and a great alternative to the big box store clones which just look cheap to me. Thanks so much for making this video and sharing to all of us that take pride in building our own renovation materials, while looking for options from the norm. Great job my man!

I have been remodeling a basement using cedar for baseboards, moulding, etc.. Funny, I applied the same water based product. Very happy with how that product keeps the natural tone of wood. Door looks great! I do wonder if a welding metal together at seams would deter any future wood warping. Perhaps the osb is enough to keep things plumb.

This is awesome! We will have two-sided sliding barn door in our house also for the home office space, I think that would be a great project to make them myself. Thanks!
