How to make a shove Ha'Penny board
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
I was asked to make a Shove Ha'Penny board by a friend as he wanted to have a regular family games night. He and his wife wanted the family to spend les time on screens and more quality time together
I used what I had in the workshop a scrappy piece of plywood and some MDF I use on my laser.
I was happy with how it turned out and more importantly so was he

Haha Sally was not happy that she lost thanks Pierre
Really nice video Steve. I've heard of shove ha'penny but have never seen a board (I'm only 54). It's nice to have someone show how they used to entertain themselves in the olden days. 😂

Enjoyable to watch and informative. I'm looking to build a '2-bit shove' board and was looking at different options for the end stop. Nice looking piece when you got it finished.

Festool iron made me chuckle, wonder what other ‘Festool’ tools could appear in new videos? Good video too, fun to watch and I haven’t seen that game before, looks good 👍

Thanks John you’ve just reminded me I need some more of that Green tape !
For the US, if using quarters, will probably need to reduce the width by about 2-3 mm.
Nice game! I might do my own board. 🍻👍🏻

Thanks very much. Yes you should make one
Nice little game, never heard of it before. I should mark all my tools as Festool, or better yet claim they are all Parkside to make them less interesting to steal... 😅

It’s a game that was played in British pubs for many years and still is usually for pints of beer 🍺
