I like the idea of threaded ferrules and brass over copper. Nice. Thanks for the ideas.

If you left the ferrule as a hexagon, you could lock a wrench onto it for moe leverage in loosening really tight screws. A lot of the higher-end screwdrivers have this feature.

Better if you used a less-exotic wood. Where did you get the bits?
