Hey I just wanted to make a correction... the Rubio Monocoat 2C is a 3:1 mixture not a 2:1 mixture. Sorry for any confusion!

Okay, now that I am at a PC... I can give a more complete comment! Found your channel after searching for wine racks. Watched a few more and then A LOT more of your videos. Recent production quality is quite good, and the voice over format seems to work fine here. I am not sure who your target audience is, be it an advanced woodworker or someone starting out, so perhaps you need to clarify that more in the videos. If going for newer woodworkers, which would be a HUGE market, perhaps spend some more time on describing why you are doing something. Also some ideas that I would love to see, videos on the various jigs you made, how they work, and how to make them. Also, for projects that you have, either a pdf for a plan or a cut list for folks who want to follow along. And while you have already done a lot of videos on sanding, would love to discuss that 2 part oil you are using and why. And for epoxy stuff, seems like you color it all the time? Any projects with clear epoxy? =P With some stuff hidden on the bottom? Always loved those tables with live edges and trinkets covered with clear epoxy.

Wow what a wonderful and detailed comment. I really appreciate the feedback! That is a good question regarding who is my target audience. I guess I never really gave it a thought. Figured I’d make some videos for newer woodworkers and stuff for more advance things. But clarifying it in the beginning is a great idea. As for clear epoxy. I have done some mostly clear applications with just a slight tint of color. It gets tricky doing those perfect clear pours. Any imperfections are really amplified since you can see all depths. But another good project to try and I’ll even through in some artistic flairs by putting some themed items in! Haha. You’ve given me a lot to think about here… 🤔

In a weird way, it’s really cool to watch a woodworker making major mistakes. It’s something that the everyday hobbyist like myself can relate to. My fist epoxy pour ended up on the floor also...I really enjoyed watching this. Thanks for sharing.

No problem! We all make mistakes and I think it’s easy to edit them out when making videos for fear of being criticized. But it’s the best way to learn in my opinion. Plus other people watching may have suggestions to make! Thanks for watching!

You really have a fist of epoxy? Like to see that fist, but not getting hit by it, lol! Kidding ;-)

Haha maybe that will be a future project? Making fists out of epoxy. Like those hulk fists they make for kids!

Really Awesome and informative video! Thanks for using Rubio! One minor correction. The ratio of PartA to PartB for the Oil Plus 2C finish is actually 3:1 (PartA:PartB) not 2:1. Thanks for using Rubio and love how the table turned out!
