Wire nose bridges can make a face mask more form fitting and reduce air flow near the nose. Since this homemade mask will be washed and reused I've made a pocket to fit the removable nose bridge. The pocket is snug enough to hold the bridge in place but big enough to move it as needed for fit and comfort.
This nose bridge is made from 16 gauge craft wire. Similar nose bridges could be made from clothes hanger wire or gardening wire. Pliers and wire cutters help but aren't absolutely necessary.
The mask itself uses two different colors of fabric to give it a visible inside and outside. It also has a second and larger side pocket to insert a paper towel for an extra layer of filtering.
