How To Make a Quick Gathered Skirt || Lazy Girl's Guide to Vintage Style
Happy Saturday! I wanted to share a super quick and easy way to make a vintage-inspired skirt, using nothing more than a thrifted duvet cover and a little bit of cheating here and there. ;) It's not perfect, but it only took around 3 hours and there was no hemming, zippers, buttonholes, or elastic involved!
Don't forget to go check out Stephanie's video and see how her one-day-make pleated skirt turned out! • MAKING A PLEATED SKIRT...

I realise this is an older video. However, the information is not 'out of date'. I also appreciate you posting this type of content (I enjoy all your posts btw). As a dyslexic, sewing can be extremely difficult for me to understand or do the process. Your visual aids matching your instructions is priceless to me! I got it!!!!!!! Thank You So Much!!!🍓💞
Yay! No buttons, no zips?! Awesome!

I’m so glad it worked, haha! Otherwise that side would have been a MESS.
I had no idea you had a KZread channel!!! YAY!! I will def be binge watching all your videos
I love it! Very nicely done. I should totally add a button on mine to hide my "hook and bar" closure! And the pattern... how I wish that would've worked.

lol buttons are the BEST for hiding all the mistakes. I swear, I will add buttons and lace and rick rack and appliques to anything if I made a visible mistake. Oh, I wish the pattern had worked too! But I still loved the outcome of yours!
Circle skirts are also super easy to make and doesn't involve gathering, which is one of my least favorite things in sewing! You do have to hem them which isn't fun, but I prefer hemming to gathering!
Beautifully done 😊 Also, love the new spring time hair!
