OMG! After several others vid's & groaning to myself...I come across yours...THANK YOU.. THANK YOU for thinking outside the box! I'll be starting my pouf quilt very soon, without the moan & groan.
Love this
You are amazing! What a game changer this is, & what an excellent teacher you are. A puff quilt is something I have wanted to make for years now, but the regular method seemed so daunting that all I ever did was a couple of puffs. Now, with your wonderfully detailed expalantion & video, I am once again considering making a puff quilt. Thank you so very much for an incredible tutorial! 😊 🤗

In making the weighted puff, is the weight of the poly fill accounted for or only the weight of the pellets?
You, friend, are a genius. I have been wanting to make a puff quilt for a while now, but the general method looked tedious. I made a baby one in an afternoon using your method. I then went a tad bigger, 13 x 10, and it took less than three days. I am now on a mission, an 18 x 15. Wish me luck and thank you so very much for sharing!
I have just followed your tutoitail for this puff quilt and made my first puff quilt. The tutorial made it very easy to do. I made mine 10 rows by 12 rows. So I would just Iike to say a huge thank you to you for sharing this fabulous tutorial. Xx❤

Me encantó lo fácil que hizo ese trabajo, y lo aprendí muy rápido, ahora como necesito uno de esos lo voy a hacer para mi uso personal, muchas gracias por su enseñanza ❤❤

That looks so soft and comfy. I bet that would feel lovely to cuddle under on the couch on a winter day watching a movie. My granddaughter (who is 12), aunt is having a baby and she wants me to help her make some baby things. This quilt would be perfect. My granddaughters other grandmother just gave her her sewing machine and she's so excited to start sewing.😉👍

This would be a great baby quilt project for sure! 💛
My granny had one in a purple satin, all the same fabric so Id make one like hers. One of m y few memories from when I was teeny was walking over that amazing landscape, it seemed like a massive. alien planet. When I stood beside the bed it was as tall as I was but somehow I managed to get up there. Wont it be so much easier to make it all one colour! All id need to do is draw a grid instead of cutting and piecing.
Genius!! I was never going to mess with making a puff quilt…but NOW I can’t wait! So many littles in my family that will love this. THANK YOU!! Great tutorial!

It’s kind of similar to how my grandmother explained her mom and grandmother made quilts in Newfoundland in the early 1900s. They did rows instead of squares and filled them with roving wool instead of poly fill but I imagine it was pretty much like this 😊 very cool!

I have never made a puffy quilt, but this method makes so much more sense than making individual squares, AND the results look more professional.
Finished a little trial Puff Quilt. It fits our kitty’s carrier. Thanks for a fun n quick technique. I shared this with my two sewing groups. Now they’re making Puffies too! Thanks, Tracy
I like the fact that you didn't use a backing on the square and then put another backing with a quilting back. it's all really just 2 fabrics, the front and the back and no quilting really. I love watching and learning. Now I'm going to tackle my creation. Wish me luck.

Just rewatched this to refresh my memory banks. Love your method, Tracy. It’s genius! BTW, using 5” charm squares at 3 x 4, fits purrfectly in a standard Kitty Carrier. Now using 6” squares (at 8x8 - playpen size) for an I Spy Puffy Quilt for great-grand son! Thanks again for sharing your brilliant technique. ❤

Warning. ... I have no training... lol I watched your tutorial, several times and thought... why not. So I dug out all my scraps (from non sewing projects) and started cutting and praying. I made a crib size. After I finished, I sat back and realized I did it! I added a ruffle to the edge, it sort of worked.. lol Thank you, my first grandbaby thanks you.

Wow, what a miracle!!! I just started a bubblequilt to make a cover for a pillow for my grandson's birthday. And I was not very pleased, because I have to make 81 bubbles! I finished 2 x 9 in rows together - to see what it looks like. 😊😉 I was thinking about getting it done easierly and quicker, as I have to make 3 pillows for my 3 grandsons - they all will have birthday in 1 month!!! So when I looked in the internet I found your video!!! Thank's for sharing it!!! It will take me less time this way than the other way!!! I'm thrilled!!! Many, many thank's!!! @@TheSewingChannel Now I found a way to be very quick with thw second cover: I bought covers for pillows. So I have a base to put the patch on it. The only difference is that I now make one seam down every row - otherwize I couldn't sew the long seam to close the rows after filling one row of bubbles. When it's finished, the cover will be able to be washed without the pillow. 😀 I nearly finished the second bubble-cover yesterday! My friend saw the bubble, pillows ,esterday and said, she would love to have one of those!!! 😆 Have a peaceful sunday, Ela 🤗🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷

Hi Tracey, I'm going to try your method. I've made a couple puff quilts, 4 probably. I just wanted to mention, I also did a test first. But I made it into a pillow for my grandson. He uses it every night on top of his regular pillow. Since he uses it every night, my daughter in law asked if I could make him another. So being his Mom mom I made about 5 of them😊 just thought I'd mention in case any of your little people would enjoy. I themed it to Mickey and other interests. Have a Great day
