Because many people sell such products for a really high price in the markets and if people know this simple trick then they will start making stuff on their own,hence such business feel they'll go on a loss ✌

It's not complicated. It just needs to be heated evenly so that one does not create waves in the plastic. That's why using an iron was better than using a hot air gun.
