Yes I will start talking slower ....
In today's video we make a mini musical Tesla coil, this schematic is probably the most simple one I have ever seen to accomplish this, and it's decent, anyways I would love to see your guys' final products if you build this, I made mine not look all that good to be honest, by I think I'll make mine have a small wood box later to make it a nice desk display :D anyways... thanks guys I love you all!
probably my favorite multimeter :D : goo.gl/KxKBXo

youre Video is awesome can you please send me a list of the components of the circuit? i know you said it in the Video but i want to build it by myself and i've already have made a secondary coil but i Need the right components to make it good (if you can send me some that can handle like 10-20 Watts?) It would be a pleasure for me :)
I went into video thinking I could do this and then realized you need to be smart to do this. Rip

Y'all can do it, you just need to print out a schematic so you can build it thoroughly and slowly. Also, take some free time to read and learn about some basics of electrical circuit components and physics. Two years ago I didn't know the difference between AC and DC power, and now I've successfully built some pretty powerful solid state tesla coils. If you don't let technical jargon intimidate you, you can absolutely learn how to do this and why it works. Tesla coils may not have real world applications, but building your own is education gold. You also learn to persevere because you'll likely fail a lot, like I did.

Yeah, simple electrical physics should help you understand the technical jargon
You can make the plasma speaker louder by placing a 45 degree, 3 inch PVC elbow over the end of the coil. It directs the sound better and also increases the low frequency response. Good job on this project!

Basically he assembled the first board with a bunch of wires that just link all the electrical things together, the big coil thing helps make the sound for the tesla coil, and the little purple discharge is plasma like lightning but super super tiny and a lil different

What are the models of the transistor and MOSFET?
What were the transistors that you used. I was unable to figure out the first one. But I know that the second one is a ST BD24 3C. And thanks for the Tesla Coil video.

Nice videos.Slayer exciters are usually fussy about which leds you use.Have you tried different types of LEDs or have you only tried with the LEDs which came with the eBay kit?Thx
Hello Keystone Science, I really like your videos as they're informative and creatively entertaining. I'm interested in figuring out how to understand components and circuitry and wondered if you have any useful resources related to learning more about components and how they interact with each other as I am looking to figure out how to not only better understand the makeup of circuitry but also how to troubleshoot issues when they arise (eg: component testing and diagnostics). My primary interaction with circuitry in general is as a PC Troubleshooter and diagnostician mostly focusing in software and general hardware failure but feel that a deeper understanding of electrical components would greatly broaden my capabilities and proffer a broader scope of usefulness in my field. Thanks for any time you give, and thanks for the cool videos. Cheers!

I know this is grave posting, but I hope you are doing well and that you have learned much in terms of electronics components! I think reddit is the better platform for questions and discussions like this
what is the transistors type and are you connecting your phone to it?
awesome,nice arc
Hey, I am confused at 2:21 What mosfet did you use? I can't immediately tell what transistor that is, and you never mentioned what transistor that is either.
congrats for 100K subscribers
Where can the schematic be found?
This is cool 🤩
Would this work with any input signal with arbitrary frequency via function generator? essentially amplifying the function generator signal
can the mosfet be substituted with a BJT signal transistor (like a 2n2222)?
Youre the best
nice job
You should do a musical ZVS driver that would be and a class a amplifier
What exact types are those tranzistors? And what's their multiplication ratio?
won't be more efficent an "half bridge" inverter to controll the primary coil of the trasformer? I think the flyback is a good circuit to start with, but keep in mind just for starting ;) by the way good project!
What is the point of the LEDs in this schematic? Are they simply being used to show an off or on state, or are they being used as diodes? I'm wondering if I can omit them and simply make the connections where they are.
@sagarramchandani3139
7 жыл бұрын
am thinking they act like diodes, either way using diodes or led's will be safer.
oh wow. i think i started watching when you were under 5k subscribers O.o Nice job!
lol both that schematic and that 2nd coil seem very reminiscent of the musical tesla coil kit u can buy off ebay :P
Subbed! :) But i have a question. Can i use my phone for the audio in?
Can i make it in large scale ? What will be the safty measures and other add ups to the circuit
In future will you be making a larger scale musical tesla coil, with similar sizing to the one you always have in your background?
Can i use any kind of transistor and mosfet to build this thing??
nice and good work congratulations
Nice fountain pen
you should do a video about how to build a small particle accelerator (with magnets).
nice 100k!
what does the capacitor parallel with the transistor does? the other one is dc filter right ?
I was just high school when I first saw this video, I don't understand anything on the schematic diagram lol, now that I'm in college this circuit is actually simple to understand
nice video! have you ever thought of making any vacuum tube videos?
I like your pilot metropolitan, I'm getting one today.
he is the only guy i know who uses a fountain pen
When you wind the copper for the main coil, does it have to be one single peice? Or can i twist 2 pieces together to continue the length of copper? -your friendly aerospace enginneer
hey, +KeystoneScience is it okay if I use enamelled aluminium instead of copper for the secondary? 37 AWG 1300 turns? (for a slayer exciter, non musical)
@KeystonScience i need your help, i want to do a bigger musical Tesla coil, with bigger arcs and with 15Kv but I'm not sure of the diagram, and I don't know what resistance and capacitor i need to use for the project. Can you help me please? :)
do you have a link with a manuel text discription of these steps ? :) and names or links for all the parts needed where really cool
awesome pilot metropolitan!
I plan on using an AC/DC too, but can I play music by other bands with my coil?
This is sweet and cool
Why did you use parallel resistors with much difference 10k and 2k why please explain bro! i think it will be 1.few k ohms ?
Can you do a “Variable output DC power supply” video?
Could you make a video on how to create a static electricity motor that is powered by atmospheric energy perhaps?
Ur great...
are there any more troubleshooting steps cause i ahve been stuck building this for the past week and cant get it to work
I have a theory, what if you used a full range audio amplifier such as a Brazillian made that has a 250v output voltage into a modified Mot with a 1 ohm primary and use the 5kv output from the secondary coil for firing the primary on the tesla coil itself? Theoretically would that work for building a musical tesla?
I always had an idea of an emp gun💯🤯😎
seen my transistors get extremley hot (even with 3x4cm heatsinks) should I add a fan?
@KeystoneScience
7 жыл бұрын
+EDG yeah probably
can i increase the size of the coil but using the same circuit... please reply
Can you use a 2.2kilo ohm resistor instead of the 2kilo ohm
I bought a tesla coil kit, but it doesn't produce any sound even though i plugged my phone in and have it playing some music, are there any methods to tune up the frequency so I could hear the music?
which two transistors you used
Which transistor should I use ?
which mosfed did you used
Are Tesla coils really the miracle power solution? I hope so. I just want something that looks cool.
Hey, I really need some help with the circuit, I have connected everything up properly, but there are no sparks coming out, and the LED connected to the secondary will not light up. I am using an IRFP250 mosfet, with a 2SC3320 transistor.
@ender_coder2007
7 жыл бұрын
Yo have you found a fix for it?
Which component should be use
i clearly understand
if you want to run this circuit on just Irfp260n and transistor then how can we use it because in this circuit you have used two transistors
you should build teslas flying saucer
What for camera are you using?
Oh i tried to build it but its not working. I wound bigger coil than yours(20 cm X 5 cm), i am using irfp250n as my mosfet and same transistor as you. I couldnt find ceramic capacitor so im using same value polyestern cap. i tried switching primary connections but still nothing. I placed 50 kohm pot in place of that resistor and tried a bunch of different resistances but still nothing. I am using computer power supplie to power it, although when i connect it the led that is connected the the bottom of coil starts to glow for some reason. It even glows when + is not connected only -. Could you help me? i doublechecked every conection dont really know what to do
Two questions: I have a couple of spare power transistors so.. what needs to be done to replace the mosfet? Why don't you play a super popular song to hear how it sounds like? Why? Edit: good vid btw!! Thank you!
