✅ How to make a micro RC balsa wood airplane / glider

Ғылым және технология

This time we're going to modify our last glider to make it RC, with a micro motor so we can have a lot more fun flying for up to 7 minutes. This balsa wood airplane / glider was made in a previous video which you can find in the link below.

you can lock the thread used for the tail control surfaces to the servo , rolling them under the servo screw used to fix the servo arm to the servo gears

Quick question? With the batterys i belive there 2 cell? To they fit into the receiver??? Or will i have to solder diffrent ends onto the battery? And what will i need to solder?-Thanks

Alexander Jackson the battery is a single cell (4.2v) just connect the battery into the receiver any way you want.

hi sir I realy want to know, do we can use that motor? because I see in another video, they use biger motor even their plane smaler than yours and what was the compensation if we use this motor, and how long do we can go with this combination, i am realy a beginer, and i want to know more about this motor, because if i use bigger want it double the cost that I spend, thank you sir

  • @Joyplanes

You can use this motor and you can connect it to the battery directly or you can use a brushed ESC to control it from you RC. This motor's life is shorter than the brushless ones but it is smaller and cheaper.

Joyplanes Try using the board from a 9g servo as an esc. You just need to put two 2.2kohm (if I'm not mistaken) in the wires go to the servo's pot.

How big of a plane are you talking about? I ask because I motorize paper airplanes using micro drone parts. If its over 2ft wingspan, I dont think I could help. But an 18 inch wingspan would probably work great.
