    This method is great! Just trying it today and waiting for it to set in the fridge! It takes a bit longer to set in the fridge then the freezer, it’s been setting for an hour now so can’t wait to see the finished product 😁 Thank you for sharing!

    Thanks for watching! I would keep in the fridge until 15-30 minutes before serving so it’s still cold when cutting for clean slices.

    Hi! It is possible to use cream cheese frosting however keep in mind that cream cheese frosting is softer and is very sensitive to warm temperature. Keep the frosting as cold as possible when you are marbling it. Please let me know if you have any other questions! Thanks for watching!

    Hi! Thank you for watching. I'm not sure how it would turn out as i haven't tried it. I know Swiss meringue buttercream would work. If you are going to try it with whipped cream, I would definitely try a stabilized whipped cream as it won't melt or collapse quickly.     I use a american style vanilla buttercream that's made with butter, powdered sugar, salt, vanilla extract and heavy cream. This recipe can be found on my website! For storing purposes I refrigerate the buttercream for up to one week in an airtight container. When the buttercream is on the cake then I will freeze the finished cake to set the buttercream for 30 minutes. Please let me know if you have any other questions!

    Hi! I would only recommend using whipped cream frosting if it has gelatin into for a stabilized whipped cream. There could be a risk using whipped cream as it could melt quickly. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions! Thanks for watching!

    Great question! You can use cream cheese frosting but you still need butter. Use equal parts butter and cream cheese. The butter is needed to set the frosting. Cream cheese tends to be too soft at room temperature and the butter will keep it all together!

    Hi! The buttercream are the exact same recipe the marbled grey buttercream has black gel food coloring added to it. The cake is frozen in between steps to freeze the buttercream to press on it. Please let me know if you have any other questions! Thank you!

    Funny enough I pinned this on Pinterest so I can recreate it lol but I have a question when you measured it around why didn’t the buttercream cover the whole entire cake is it because you didn’t measure the height of it?

    What would you say is the cheapest way to make or buy around 200 half sheet cakes for a cake fight. Will consist of mostly buttercream.

    I would say buying them may be cheaper. Go to a big bargain grocery store that has a bakery they can either sell you in frosted sheet cakes or sell you frosted sheet cakes. Cheapest frosting is to use a whipped cream based frosting. They sell this frosting in a carton at places like Sams club or restaurant depot that is a lot for a good price. I hope that helps!

    I think so. It’s lighter where regular butter/shortening based frostings are firmer especially when cold.

    Hi! This was a 6-inch round cake that’s 3 layers high. There’s a link to the recipe in the description. If you want to make a bigger or smaller cake do the same technique just adjust the size.
