@fiberdrunk I do not, but I make sure there are no pools of ink in the recesses, so I wipe it down with a cloth. After about 4 or 5 prints, I recommend you rinse and wait until it dries to reuse.

There is cutter specifically for linoleum that you can purchase at any art supply store. Push it away from yourself as you remove the linoleum.

It should be noted that when cutting into lino, you should never cut towards any part of your body.

Hi Mary, can you use this method to transfer a print to fabric, say a t-shirt for instance?

Ok, but I really wanted to see the cut process.... I have no idea how to cut... or which tools are best or which direction to cut in (left right, down) ?????

I used a weird tube paint that said it was for blockprints but i didnt mix it with water because it didnt say so, my prints look awfull and you can even see the lines of the linoleum on hte paper. What should i do? can i do this with ordinary paint?

It is not that you can't use it, it is that the image will not transfer as cleanly as earlier transfers.
@mary1015412 жыл бұрын
Use mild soap and water.

I am not sure what kind of ink you used, but sometimes it just take a bit of practice to work out the consistency of ink and how much pressure to apply. I have used acrylic paint with OK results. Again it depends upon the consistency of the paint.

I bet you can use an iron, and just iron the image to the paper. Kids, I bet you can borrow your Mom's iron! :D

You should never NEVER cut towards your hand! Place your hand behind the blade for God's sake you were giving me the shakes!
