Nice video but I would love to see someone restore the leather on an antique Victorian glass and sterling silver flask…..there are many in dire need of this restoration

Nice work. How does the barge hold up over time only applying it to one surface?

Hi, sorry for the delay in response. So far it has not been an issue, but I have also started applying it to the flask and the wrap. Thank you for the question.

I would say start by making either something you would use a lot or something you enjoy making. I have been doing this for 7 years and even if I have made 100 flask, I still enjoy making them because you are taking a simple piece of metal and giving it warmth and character.

Very very nice. Thanks for the printed explanation when transitioning into a new action. What leather did you use? Where did you source it? Beautiful pull up as you placed the sleeve over the flask.

I get the leather from Acadia Leather, Rocky Mountain Leather, and Maverick Leather. In this video, I used Gingerbread York from Acadia Leather, but it looks like they may have changed the name to York Ridgeway.
