    I worked for a bakery. They used a textured paper towel while they gently smoothed to leave a slight impression on the icing. It actually looked great.

    Hi there, For this first time last week I was excited to use my cake scrapper (new baker here 🍰🤗) but I kept taking off more frosting then necessary 😩. I think I was definitely holding it up against the cake to hard. Practice makes perfect, thanks for the tips.

    Hi! I'm wondering if you could comment about freezing cakes before using vs just refrigerating- i hear that esp in hot climates, frosting a thawing cake is easier

    Thank you for taking the time to do this video. Super helpful! I have one question: when baking the cake layers the day before, when do you wrap them to put in the fridge? Do you wait for the cakes to completely cool or slightly warm to keep some moisture?

    Thanks for this great video. I have a question. My family don’t like butter cream. Can I use whipped cream that I sometimes use for cupcake or whipping cream with cream cheese? I whip the 33%cream and beat it with cream cheese and icing sugar and forms well. If I can use that instead of butter cream are all the steps exactly same as this video? Thanks

    I think when it completely cool because if it’s warm it’s gonna kinda melt the plastic wrap, it’s just better to do it cool. 🌸

    it’s best to wrap the cakes when they are about 10 minutes out of the oven. so yes wrap them when they are warm because the plastic wrap will lock in than moisture and keep the cake nice and moist. and then chill in the fridge for an hour. happy caking!
