Anyone who wants to starts a project like this, don't get de motivated when something doesn't go your way and don't rush anything. Also a little tip if you want to add animals to terrariums like these, don't buy the animals too fast, most people are hyped and want to finish it as quickly as possible but do not rush. Buy the animals after your terrarium is fully finished

How long does a build like this usually last?
@Archivun
10 ай бұрын
@@CleverBryan1 well it al depends on how you build it. If you use materials that will get damaged when exposed to moisture for a long time, it won't last more then 1 year. But if you make it from strong silicone and strong adhesives and use materials that can endure water damage and air exposure then you won't have a problem. It will go many years, it will outlast your desire to look at it and at that point you'll probably decide yourself that you want to change things up
@Archivun
10 ай бұрын
@@CleverBryan1 also if you plan on adding a pump, make sure you have acces to it. The last thing you want is your pump breaking and not being able to take it out, and believe me it WILL break. Those pumps are so weak, I tried many different brands and every single one has a chance to break. Also I don't recommend building a water + land area if it's your first build, working with water is a HUGE pain. Making your land area waterproof is a must to prevent your plants from having root rot. Your paludarium will stink if your substrate gets wet. Just start simple and normal size, not small not large. Just simple land terrarium, and aquariums. Later you can combine the two when you have more experience with building. Good luck!

If you want to add animals don't use this glue, Foam, Silicone, or glass. It is not made for animals. It is toxic!
I’ve been watching your videos for 2 hours straight without any skip! It’s been a long time that I could sit still and enjoy tutorial videos like this. One 👍 is not enough for you. Thank you! This is truly an artist’s work!
this guy seems like the type of guy with a green robe and vines and jungle trees in his room, he then shows you his collection of little earths (terrariums). Truly, the terrarium sigma
instead of one waterfall like other people.... You did two. You are truly amazing ggs

Thank you so much for this! My husband and I are always watching videos like these as we are very into plants, animals and terrarium/ vivarium type enclosures. But most of the how to's don't show every step, or require more money than we have to spend on it. We watched this so excited.
love this, i think you forgot to mention how did you hide the pump cable

A bright plant or mini orchid above the flow of the waterfall would give the whole thing a pop of color, just as you’d find in some jungle areas and make the whole thing more appealing. One piece like that definitely stands out!
lovely video, and beautiful terrarium. thanks for sharing.
love the idea of using frameless picture frames for the build. Great idea about tapeing down the ruler. I noticed you didn't "tap" the glass before the snap. HINT: after scoring the glass, use the ball tap to tap the glass along the score line, ensuring a strait and even edge when you snap the glass.

Awesome. Thank you for sharing! Planning my winter project and want to add a waterfall. I've done it before, but wasn't 100% happy with how it turned out. You gave great tips and so easy to do on a smaller budget. 🙌
believe me, as an IT professional, this will keep me relax and sane,
Tbh i didn't expect a lot, but i got surprised, that's amazing!!!
Even though I DIY a lot of things, you have still come up with ideas, materials and techniques I didn’t think of! And the terrariums are beautiful! I’m just starting to build bioactive enclosures (for my jumping spiders), and will definitely keep watching your builds for more ideas!
So easy and amazing ❤ thanks for teaching us
Quick trick for chalking use a damp finger when cleaning up your joints. Water help you not to drag to much at a time and your finger will glide easily.
This look absolutely gorgeous as always! It always exceeds my expectations and turns out way better than I thought! Also I think the vines are a good idea :]

I must say that each of your creations is a source of inspiration for me. I've already made a terrarium with a pond (like the one you proposed in a previous tutorial) and I'm really satisfied with the result thanks to your advice. Now I can't wait to make a terrarium like this. Thank you for sharing your beautiful creations with us🥰

Very clever use of the filter foam and the spray foam! Maybe a small species of crypt like crypt larva that has been grown above water would be nice, a nice light green and different texture

@TerrariumDesigns I am in love with this, I will try to realize it with much enthusiasm and attention, I only find two things that are not clear to me 1st the pump cable where do you run it? 2nd where is it possible to find those little animals that let's say eat the mold?( are there other alternative solutions) thank you for your answer

That's awesome. Thanks for your vids! Just getting into the hobby and youtube suggested you since i follow SerpaDesign. Looking to eventually do something like this but starting small. I'll do the nano palurarium first. So two questions. For that nano paludarium, how and how often to do a water refresh. And which grit sandpaper you use? I've got lots of 600 grit. That should do right? Keep up the good work. Looking forward to learning this cool hobby by watching you.

Good video do you use a water mister for your aquatic plants like anubias and bucephalandra as I was going to make one with ciano cube only problem I have my lid as cut outs of the lid so my wire can come out the back then you pull of a side panel put wire in there and put the side panel back on as this tank as a floating base and the lights fit in to the base and looks like and upside down letter L what's the best way to keep the humidity in cheers
I wonder how much of this I can use here for pets such as tropical frogs, lizards, Madagascar hissing cockroaches, etc. They'd love a tank like this. I would need to make a few adjustments first but I'd love to learn this.
How do you fertilize these plants? Is it necessary or do the spring tales provide fertilizer?
I have ruined like 4 pieces of glass 😭 but at last I have the pieces I need… great video!

Hi I want to ask something, I made one tank before and planted it, but the lid I have is not fully sealed the tank. theres a tiny gap between the cover and the tank, is it okay? or is it has to be fully sealed?
Good job! And where did you get the Frameless Picture Frame?
Bro this is so addicting.
does the java moss need to be acclimated to emersed growth before this?
How does the water stay fresh? Is the filter foam enough?
How Do you change the water or not at all? Just topping off?
How do you clean the filter ??
RIP to the springtail in front of the tank @ 14:36
Wow I could never do this good lol
What do you use for light
How often do you need to top off the water, and what type of water did you use?
@TerrariumDesigns >>> Great video...👍
Will it also work with lotus flowers?
Hello! Beautiful little ecosystem ❤ can I ask where the power cord for the pump comes out? I can see it in the final version and I wondered how it works? Thank you 😊
Whats was the measurements for the glass?❤❤perfect size
Is the expanding from safe
Where did u get the glass from?
Tedium design I have a question where did the cable go
Where do you buy your glass?
Where did you buy the glass?
Have you tried using pond expanding foam that’s black instead of yellow?
Do you let the pump run 24 hours and do you keep Under a plant light
Which glue are you using? And that long narrow applicator nozzle, how the hell does it not get clugged up?
where do you get the little bugs?
Very nice. It hurts that in Mexico the plants are sold very expensive.
If you get black plastidip and spray the back of the foam it’ll look great. It is aquarium safe according to its white paper.
Is there any animals that would be fine to add to this build?
What about a air circulation, is not necessary?
I wonder if it would be ok to use clear acrylic? I am addicted to these videos!
@adamlea87
10 ай бұрын
Problem could be that acrylic can absorb moisture and tends to warp with the humidity
Can a terrarium closed with normal terrarium plants have a waterfall in it ?
How is the foam filler plant-friendly? That stuff is a chemical cocktail.
