How to make a Honda Metropolitan go 50MPH

This Honda Metropolitan 2013-2015 95cc performance package will convert your 38 mph snail scooter into a 50 mph lightning bolt :-) when doing a big bore kit by itself the top speed doesn't change. It remains 38 mph, but it gets there superfast. In order to do the big bore kit and have it run correctly it will need a tuner to add more fuel to the engine via the fuel injection system. To make the scooter have a higher Top speed now that you have the muscle to push the scooter, the transmission kit Then needs to be installed. All of the parts and pieces come in the kit to get her scooter to a 50 mph top speed. Depending on your weight and altitude the top speed could change. There is one modification that needs to be done in order to properly adapt the intake manifold to the head (re drilling holes). There will no longer be a oil pressure switch or a narrow band 02 sensor. These simply get zip tied out of the way. The top speed and torque is very impressive. Even with the stock exhaust and stock air filter it almost sounds like a 50cc. Keep in mind this will only fit Honda Metropolitan's 2013, 2014, and 2015s. This is the air cooled Fuel Injected engine (metro's slowest engine from the factory)

As exciting as it is to install performance parts, it was very smart not to do the transmission mods, until you tested your engine mods. Had you modded the engine and transmission at the same time and had problems, it could’ve really muddied the water trying to diagnose the problem. 01:15

Goodnight. I have a doubt since about a month ago I installed a new battery to my Honda Metropolitan 2005 and it was running two days and then stopped turning on by button. so it forces me to charge the battery constantly or turn it on by the pedal. How can you solve this problem?

I wish I could have someone like you help me with this modification; I'm handy but afraid... you're not kidding the top speed is about 35-38 mph GOING DOWN HILL AND WIND AT YOUR BACK.... the state made me get a motorcycle license for this slug... barely goes 32mph to 35mph. ONly 1500 miles since I bought it new too... and starting this back up again. Quick question: this was the first time I tried to fill it with air and I can't because the wheel rim gets in the way. I have just ordered a right angle inflator adapter.

Unfortunately the 2013-2015 metros are the slowest on the planet! Buuuuut they are the only metros that accept a big bore kit, and the most upgradable. Definitely do our performance package. A big bore kit alone won’t satisfy. This is the kit you need to put a smile on your face: www.rollingwrenchdenver.com/products/honda-metropolitan-81cc-big-bore-kit-performance-package-2013-2015

I have a 2009 GET Metro. GPS said 47 mph with only a custom variator, custom filter using UNI foam and Moto-seal using the stock airbox and intake (I used the original air filters metal frame so it drops right in), small filter on crankcase breather tube, Gates power belt and a step up on the main jet. Lucas oils and fuel conditioner. Cruises at 35 and still gets around 90 mpg. Cost was about $100 USD. Edit: carburetor restrictor was removed as well. Also.. Keep your lifter shims in spec!!

With my enthusiasm I neglected to mention that top speed is only increased 3ish mph. However the acceleration is great with stock 6 gram roller weights. Rider weight 170 with additional gear. 5.5 to 5.0 rollers would likely put it right in peak torque/nm in conjuntion with the Polini white spring on the clutch end of the transmission (the "shift" point,). No noticeable wear on the "ramps" with the increased spring pressure. With the valves adjusted and in spec I have experienced valve float. This is using the stock US spec CDI (rev limiter programmed into the CDI is relevant). This happened with a 8 year old engine with tons of high speed riding. I would definitely refresh/replace valve springs if the engine needed service for something else or if the engine was removed.

But lets not forget that a crash at 50 mph is no different just because you're in a scooter. "Just a helmet" is not applicable here. You will be seriously maimed crashing at 50 mph without proper protective gear. Also- they may not have designed the moped to properly brake (with control) at 50 mph. Think safety!
