good method. This almost sounds like gabber hardcore/experimental. it would help to say this is an ultra-raw kick, i was expecting something way different

It would've been more Hardstyle if you used a Saw wave to frequency modulate the Sine instead of another Sine wave... And modulate the FM Depth with the same kind of pluck envelope...

Rawstyle kicks just generally sound more unpolished and raw (as the name would suggest), and they also aren't usually used in melodic ways. Hardstyle kicks usually sound very distinct, crunchy and devoid of any low-end bass, and they're ALWAYS used in melodic ways. Even hardstyle kicks themselves change note sorry for the long yapfest but it's a major pet peeve when someone mixes up the wrong genre 🙏peace bro

that's not even close to a HS kick, where is the EQ, Compression, reverb chain in the mixer? If you want a pro Tutorial, listen to Eternize from Scantraxx. its a good start but nothing close to a Pro Kick

Not even 10 years ago, more like 20 or 30. Back 11 years ago in 2012, music software was already advanced enough that actual hardstyle tracks like USAO - Project could exist and sound good
