I would love to see more videos like these just giving general creative ideas, these are all helpful tips and i often feel demotivated to get back to producing, these ideas help me think of how to improve my sound. Thanks!

Also if you have MISHBY it has a noise slider built in and might be the most intense plugin you can play with only just white noise 😅
That last trick is so simply but genius, been doing that with orchestral arrangements but never think to do it with synths

Same, I’m learning about arrangement in school right now and it never occurred to me to use it with my synths

Call and response blew my mind. So simple but adds so much
My personal favorite has been convolution synthesis. I use a free plugin called Convology XT and what it does is creates reverbs based on impulse recordings. It has a built in file browser that you can navigate to your sample library which allows you to select any sound you have and use that as an impulse! Taking a bass sound and using a perc roll as an impulse gives some really crazy textures and effects, or using a vocal one shot as an impulse for a pluck can create some really spooky and eerie atmosphere.

@@rainer3755 Huge fan of Trash 2! When I want a nice dry gritty sound it's my go to with a little bit of the old camel crusher. Recently though I picked up Rift by Minimal Audio through Splices rent-to-own system and it's becoming more and more integral to my sounds. It's a little more chaotic to try and understand compared to Trash but wow it can do so much. Definitely recommend checking out a free trial
That keytracked noise technique is insane
1:21 sound design on that synth is SO clean
I'd like to see more granular stuff on the channel, especially using Quanta

My new homework assignment
This is a classic. I remember watching you a bit when I first started production and now, this tutorial is perfect before everything happens for me so thank you so much!!
That last tip is so simple yet effective! Very nice!
This was so helpful! The keytrack blew my mind, so simple but added a crazy amount of depth.
Love this! So simple but so effective. Thank you 🙏
Thank you for continuing to do what you do, Tom! ❤️
this video was phenomenal thank you!
mate, one of your best videos yet, loving it! learned so much and very well and clear explained. thumps up for the granular examples. My favourite one was the side chained granular one.
great synth concepts and also really tasty harmony in your examples! They all have at least one great unexpected change.
Great video! Thank you! Different instruments for different notes seems so obvious now you have mentioned it, but it's something I never thought of using as a tool for layering. There is no limit to how far you could push this!
Really good stuff. Have been missing some more advanced synth discussion videos, so this is much appreciated 🙏
It’s cool to see such neat tricks explained so succinctly. You totally earned my sub!

Appreciate man and welcome!
I got chills on the physical modeling sounds!
Super helpful! What I like most is that you explained those techniques mainly as general concepts, instead of being too much focused on a particular DAW and/or plugin. Thus, it can be easily applied to basically any DAW, sequencer and groove box. Thanks for sharing!

Appreciate it, definitely trying to do this more going forward!
I really love the result of layering with physical modeling.
BRILLIANT 👏🏻 Thanks so much for this. All of the ideas were awesome, but I think the granular one was my favorite. Definitely more videos on granular synthesis would be great!
Really loved this video, thanks for sharing these ideas. The idea of added noises that are polyphonicly pitched are dope! And I'm definitely going to use the mechanical layer of some libraries on some synths.
I really like the last tip. I feel like that was great about limitations in earlier days of music when things were always monophonic but you wanted to play chords
Great tips! Thank you
One of the best sound design vids ive seen in a while, thanks!! 🙏🔥
How am I only just finding your channel? These are really great tips that I've not heard before, really amazing.
loved each one of them.. super tricks!
The first and last tips are GOLD!
super cool tips, my favorite one was the band pass filter on any noise and turn it tonal thing! great
I get so so excited when I see you post!

Often come back to watch this video when I'm out of ideas for a production! Thanks for putting it together! 👾
Wonderful video, my synths will never be the same again! Thanks a ton!
This is just awesome
LOVE THESE TIPS!!!!something i do is isolate a frequency from a noise/ambience track using band pass filter with q at max, tune the frequency to a key using pro q 3 keyboard and then automate that frequency to match the melody
So dope! Thank you for sharing these gems!
Amazing tips. Thank you :) You can also do the number 6 by having the reverb on a separated channel (no audio; just the rvb plugin on); so a normal aux and do all the processing there.
They are all such interesting ideas, thank you!
I love this creative ideas type videos. This video is super unique & extremely helpful.
Great ideas! Love these. Thanks for making this
Solid stuff! Lots of cool tricks to work with. Thanks.

Really great, creative ideas!! No favorites, they're all GREAT!!
Your video always inspires me so much! Would love to see you deep dive into granular and physical modeling.
I really love the last one because I use it as well. It sort of gives it this kinda "synth choir" vibe
so good. Thank you
WOW. Excellent tips mate. Definitely going to try some of these out.

Congrats. Perfect
Very inspiring tricks! 👌
This video was awesome! So much inspiration!
These are some very inspiring tips! Awesome video! 👍🏻
Great video Thomas, I've subscribed. I kinda liked your first suggestion of a second synth with a long attack to create that forwards and backwards feel. But I also like the idea of using Suggetion 1 with another one - for example a 8ve++ second synth. Great stuff. :)
This is GOLD. Please make more videos like this :)
So inspiring!
That was very handy thanks.
4:16 I really like how subtle the granular layer comes up here :)
Wow I didn’t expect to learn so much in such short amount of time. Thank you!
Great content, thanks for the tips!
Truly brilliant!
Amazing Thank you
ty!
nice tips man!! gonna try to inplement some of them
Awesome, bro really thought out of the box and these ideas are really interesting. The use of mechanic noises was my favorite,, it adds a something, like making the synth sounds as you say, more like if a real instrument. It was really creative, I don't know yet how i will re- create that in my daw, but I 'd love to try! Thank you so much for sharing these.
This is great!!!!
Very creative, great stuff! 👍
thank u for these. amazing!
These are superb
loved this! and yes, more granular stuff please!
