This is what I like to see! DIY using Aussie common sense
I always just used a hammer and tap the cardboard around the edge of the component, it creases the cardboard and is enough to cut out easily.
That deserves a Blue Peter badge! 😁
done cereal box gasket on a thermostat housing that didn't leak even under pressure, doubt you'll have much issue with just a bit of oil splashing
It's always better and safer to do the holes first before cutting out the gasket!!! Also get yourself a cheap wad-punch set.👌

Loving the bike stuff, next job sort the carbs out... A thorough clean and balance needed from the sounds of it
I usually use a ball peen hammer but I have used red grease on the gasket surface and cut it out like that too.

At 5:14 , what oil did you use ? Car engine oil or motorcycle engine oil ? I bought nissan 10w40 semi synthetic engine oil 4L for my new ninja 250, the price far cheaper than motorcycle oil.
Im not usually one for bikes, but this two part was really interesting so props for it! Are we getting a zero to 60 out of the bike now that it has a working clutch? lol

Haha you read my mind. I may have already tried an acceleration run and that may have been the main reason for sorting out the clutch 😅

Are you using motorcycle specific motor oil? If you’re not using JASO compliant oil with a wet clutch then you get clutch slip. You probably are, just checking after seeing that bulk 20L jug of oil you’ve got.
So manilla folder really works? I thought it would get oil logged and wick out and then drip?

Why was all the riding scenes filmed in slo mo?
It's not a great idea to use razor blades on gasket surfaces, you can, but you need tobe VERY careful.
