How to make a foliage covered China Ball / Paper Lantern hanging light
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Floral lanterns have long been a favourite of mine and can create that extra edge of magical romance to any environment. Who wouldn’t be visually impressed being greeted by clustered suspended groups of heavenly balls of little flowers and sprigs of foliage floating in the breeze?
These floral / foliage lanterns are a great DIY wedding idea. Either artificial or fresh material can be used. They are also a great way of using up any surplus odds and ends you might have tucked away waiting for a project.
You will need:
- Paper ball lanterns
- Your choice of flowers and foliage
- As mentioned above you can use either fresh or artificial material
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks
- Rope, ribbon or string to hang completed lanterns
Tip: place ball lanterns into a bowl, this will stop the lantern rolling all
over your work surface.

You are such a lovely lady! Enjoy watching you!
How exquisite! What a creative idea.
I am in love with this xx I think that you should get one of those glue 'thimbles' It is usually bright pink in color, made of silicone, and looks just like a sewing thimble. It allows you to push down on the hot glue without getting burned. You can easily find them at the Dollar store or on Amazon in a set of hot glue items that usually includes a mat for the hot glue gun.
Love, love, love this idea! This would be ideal on my screened in porch.
"this is a good feeling..." good one!

Hi Michael, aren't they gorgeous. I made 50 for a wee bride several weeks ago and we included lights which took them to another level of loveliness. Take care, Astar

Hi Shipa, thank you for your lovely email. I am so pleased you like my tutorials. Regarding the HAIR. I'd like to wear it down but it itches my face and thus the reason it's always up. I've worn it like this for years and say, thank goodness for clips. If I get time at some stage I'll do a show and tell. Love for now Astar.
Love it 💕
Another great video Astar👌🏻 I will make these and hang them under our alfresco for my girls 18th party.😘👌🏻
