I happen to live 20 minutes away and Travis Wuertz was kind enough to throw me 2 VIP passes after I emailed him about checking out a TW-90 at the show, so it was as convenient as it could have possibly been for me. I just started doing stock removal about 3 months ago after getting tired of spending money on throwing knives and your channel has been a huge help in setting up my shop! I met a bunch of awesome people at Blade Show who are eager to help out people new to knife making...such an awesome community to be in. Keep up the amazing work brother, it does not go unappreciated!
I watched the entire process and really appreciate your sharing. I make slipjoints, and plan on tackling my first frame lock this year.
Glad to have ya back Mike!
I've been binge watching this whole series over the last two days. It is excellent, and I really appreciate all the work you put into it and you sharing it with us. Thanks!
This was a great series. Thank you for putting all the effort into these!
Welcome back Mike. Looking forward to some more stuff from you! This series has been an awesome thing to watch!
Love that you go in depth for people as to the "why" I do it this way. The knife looks great by the way.
Welcome back Mike, love your vids and most of all your knives. Would really love to buy one soon. Cheers my friend.
Fantastic series! Thank you for being so generous with your knowledge. 😊
Glad this video is back up. Wouldn't work for a while. Love your contributions Mike. Always very useful and informative.
Likable guy. Your knife is a work of art in itself. My trusty little kershaw leek is about that sharp and has never bitten me. Love it.
Watched every video in the series and I'm impressed with the accuracy and craftsmanship! Amazing work and keep it up!
Best model yet!
I watched all of the build knife videos. I learned a lot of stuff thanks to you. I'm ready to start one now. I've been making fixed knives for over a year now, and have milling and surface grinding machines now. Thanks for sharing your experience.
I have enjoyed your videos for a while now. Great choice on the Wicked Edge - Clay has done an amazing job of designing a great sharpening system. Clay is the reason that I make knives now!!! Been a WE user since Gen1.
Beautiful knife ya got there mate, you can really see the craftsmanship with the quality of said knife.
Thanks Mike, Just finished watching the whole series. Damn, I feel like you gave everything in these free videos. I learned more here than I did from a lot of paid for DVD's and I've got a stack of neat tips and tricks that will help me to improve my own knife making skills. So thanks for putting in all the time and effort to share your hard won experience with us, so that we can avoid many of the pitfalls on our knife making journeys. Thanks again Mike, you rule =)
I'm glad you tackled such a difficult topic! Thanks for taking all the time and effort to explain the nuances and details in this series. Making a frame lock folder seems less daunting now, though clearly it's a still a big challenge. Well done!
i watched every single video of this knife build and i enjoyed every second of it! thank you for your time my friend, please don't stop uploading
Never quit. Nice to see a new video!

LOL Thank you! Its great to be back!
Great tutorial. I can see why you are one of Jim Skeleton's favorite knife Y/T video guys.
I am just getting started in the craft. I watched your early videos and see how you progressed. pretty darn amazing journey. You do a fantastic job in explaining your processes and what works and what doesn't. I have watched many videos of "professional" knife makers and do not get near as much good information as what you bring. I truly appreciate your craft. You have come such a long way. I view you as one of the go to guys for practical info. Thank you so much for all of the content and encouragement. I look forward to future videos. Good luck in your endeavors.Wishing you much sucess.
I LOVE this prototype! Just started making knives, thinking about making a folder… watched this series to wrap my mind around the process and just love how this knife turned out. Thank you so much for videoing the process. Scares me, but still want to try.
What an awesome series you provided on your channel! Very informative and very inspirational! I'm only customizing the appearance of knives at the moment but your videos have taught me that with patience and some basic tooling, that a folder knife can be created(I'm eventually going to get a CNC machine). Thank you for taking the time to create these videos, I know how time consuming they can be but this was extremely helpful! Thank you again Mike, really appreciate the advice and steps!😁🤜💥🤛
Awesome job,luv your nail file!
Great videos. They're vary helpful. I just found your channel and I'm for sure going to watch some more of your stuff. Thanks for shooting the videos, keep it up man.
Awesome Mike!!
Thanks so much. You are best in the world

Wow, just found you today and I gotta say you do excellent work !! Beautiful knives.... I'm subbing 👍
Alec Steele just gave you a shoutout!!!! He's building his own frame lock! Expect some new traffic!!
Hi Mike, I'm a new subscriber. ....all I can say is WOW. I've gotta find all the other parts of this build. Keep cranking them out, I'll be watching. Jim
You have great content. And i learned a lot!!!!!
Thanks as always for the great content!

You're really good at video edditing, your timing is good. A lot of knife guys are just power tool guys, and they don't know their way around software and video stuff so the clips overlap, are too close together or way too far apart. Also, that etched spine shit is beautiful, I wanna do that on my knives so damn bad. Thanks for the awesome tutorials man.
as always,greate job 👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍👍👍💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
really nice knife and series of vids atb scott
Alec Steele mentioned your channel as a source of great info. for learning, and after watching this vid I'd have to say he's right. I'm constantly amazed at the level of talent that can be found on KZread on so many subjects; this is the first of many of your vids that I intend to watch. As for this knife that you've just finished I personally wouldn't do anything else to it; I'd rather see something is strong and well built (which this knife is) over something that is 'artsy fartsy' and weak and useless. Thank you for the great content. You've earned yourself another subscriber......
That is gorgeous
10/10 amazing!
Just spent an afternoon watching the majority of these videos. And I have to say, I love this knife. It looks fantastic. I like the simplicity of the design. And I like the size a lot. It's on the large side but that's a good thing. I hope you keep it that size. PS....I'm not a huge fan of the guillotine! I like my fingers attached. Ha Ha.
Nice vid, Mike. Congratulations for the Knife. Thats just the kind of knife I like looking at ....The beauty in plain and simple lines. Btw... 2 small neodymiun magnets make miracles when settling the stencil.... try it out sometime Cheers!
Very nice!
good to have ya back man.. the video isn't working though for me and I noticed someone else mentioned the same in the comments

Nailed it
Great job teaching us...or me anyway, thank you😊
Excellent, I watch all of it and you are really a perfectionist, although I would like to get all the measurements in millimeters which would be nice, but besides that I realy rate your work against the best. Keep up the good work and I really look forward to see as much as possible, you are a great teacher. Thank you.
awesome...dude u look tired hope u are well.get some rest.as soon as the baby is here u won't get much sleep.trust me.take care stay safe all the best
thanks thanks to this video i will be able to make my own leg
VERY COOL VID AND CHANNEL MATE !!!
it is very beautiful knife and vrey beast making God helps you and God bless you ok thanks for you good buy........
Another excellent video Mike! You were, however, making me nervous by grinding the cutting edge at the top of the wheel. You should get the reversing switch for your VFD, it's only about $17. Then you can sharpen with the wheel running in the opposite direction and won't have to worry about the sharp edge being thrown at you.
muchas gracias,maestro!
great job

Awesome work, man. The knife looks on point, you even cut yourself! Haha.. That's extra for effort.
love it
I had an interesting idea for a folding knife. Well, interesting to me. You might think it's stupid. Since I don't really know anything about making folding knives ... it might very well be stupid. So, here's my idea ... make the knife blade about 3 or 4 inches too long so it extends past the bottom of the handle while in the folded position. This essentially makes the folded position into what is essentially a fixed blade since you'd need a sheath to cover it. Basically, in the folded position, you'd have a 3-4 inch fixed blade knife ... but when you unfold it, you end up with a 7-8 inch blade. So, if you need a short blade for doing small whittling or stuff like that, you've got a small fixed blade knife, but if you need a long blade for something like batoning some firewood, you've got that too ... all in the same knife. What do you think? Is that cool or stupid? I can't decide. In my imagination, I think "wow, that's awesome" ... then I start to think fo the more practical aspects and I start to doubt myself.

That is interesting but also odd. It would be difficult to make it so it is an ergonomic knife in both positions.
Great videos. Where can I find the brass jaw screw clamps you use. I have looked everywhere and cannot find any. Thanks
Great work Mike, I like your vid's. question: what final grit did you use on the pivot to get the mirror look, or did you use some polishing compound ? greetings, Joost
New subscriber, great job, attention to detail etc, do you make knives as a job or extra work?
Mike, I'm about to order a grinder, but can't decide between the Pheer and the Esteem... any suggestions? Why did you choose the Pheer over other similar grinders? The knife turned out beautiful by the way...
Hey Mike, very good content in your video, I like your style. I do have a couple questions for you, The first is, what stropping compound are you using. The second is what speed are you using, on your KMG grinder with the X 45 belt to sharpen, I thought it looked like 30. Also , Jeremy pushed me over the edge, and now I own a wicked edge system. Thanks again for the videos.
Mike are you going to the Blade Show this year?
u ar so cool and nise knife
great video, hope you gave the wife back her nailfile lol.
What about milling the lock bar spring on the inside of the knife, I think it would look cleaner. Is there a reason you did it outside?
Güzel çalışma.
Hello from Bulgaria :) man those knifes u made ar awesome. I have a question. Can the grinding for the spring be inside of the frame? This way the handle will be smoote. Just a thought of main. :)

See Shirogorov knives - can be done...
23:00 where did you get a 1/8” small wheel? I really need that.
Please, where can I find titanium to buy and what is the correct type to make the knives?
Mike, where do you order your stencils from?
video loads fine for me
The knife came out great Mike thanks for the tutorial. and thanks for sticking with doing tutorials unlike Steve Miller the guy that starts with tutorial channel and turns it into a videography of selling his knives.thanks for not becoming that guy.
I think it's almost a requirement to put a little blood in your work, great series.
I want this knife but can never afford it.😢 Beautiful knife.
Nice work Mike! First off, we all know that nail board was yours. Secondly, yeah... Jeremy is a bit of a bad influence. I have a Wicked Edge in my Amazon wish list right now. Lastly, nice knife but more importantly... hope all is well with you THREE. ;)
