I was assembling all the parts to make a drill press with an adjustable table to get a 200+ mm drill range but I like this idea better with the fixed table and a 200+ mm range of the drill itself. Well done Yusuf, thanks for sharing.

The is one of the best DIY drill press designs video's I have watched. I can see other tools such as adding a router lift. When you are working in a small shop space machine foot print matter. I watched the swap out sander drove by the drill that was great idea also.

I think I could buy one for less money than after all the expense of the materials . A sheet of plywood of the quality you were using is about £50 and the fixings about £25 plus the glue and skrews and bearings another £ 20 plus the price of the drill , I'll leave it there . just my view

This is a great video. Bravo I'll try to make one. I wonder what is the height of the drill?

Wow Yusuf. Such detail, and skill. The only problem is the high speed is not suitable for lots of applications. BTW, your YT settings have your subscriptions on private. That means nobody knows when you subscribe to them. Click Settings Settings. In the left menu, select Privacy. Under "Likes and subscriptions," uncheck the box for Keep all my subscriptions private. Unless of course you want them to stay private :)

This press has worked like a charm for my projects kzread.infoUgkxajoEbapTfqWaadnqb04h6U576yxXp-FE . I didn't even secure it to my table top, mainly due to the fact that I was using a 15 lbs drill vise. It's not flimsy at all as to what others have claimed it to be. Make sure the locking nuts and levers are secured and there won't be any issues with light pressure and patience. I was able to drill through aluminum, plastic, and steel (steel took a while) with no problems at all. Yeah it took a little longer than a regular drill press, but I don't have the space OR the money for one.The instruction manual was worthless, but luckily assembling the press was intuitive. However, the manual would be good for ordering replacement parts if needed. There is a nice breakdown of the parts that are included in the kit. Before ordering, make sure it is compatible with your unit, it is clearly stated what models the press is compatible with.This was an excellent purchase for $40!!
