@@FlowerJoos John, I live in South Eastern Ohio right along the Ohio River. About 12 years ago we lost everything to a flood because we lived so close to the River however we have had really nasty storms and live now further away from the River,have been very lucky. My cousin lives around Dayton,Ohio and was in a F-3 a couple days ago. Lost car and truck damage to house and almost every tree in their neighbor hood was destroyed. Have not a clue when power will be restored. So much damage to other neighbors homes. Thank You for asking it's been getting worse every year. Have a beautiful day my friend playing with those beautiful flowers. I eat, breath and sleep flowers. Born in I think. Blessings and Hugs to you and family.

Kuge thank you! It was on the news this morning, the damage was terrible. Glad you were not affected, but sorry your cousin was. Yes, more extreme weather everywhere now. We don’t have such damage here in the UK. Hope you have a good day and that you have some flowers in there somewhere. Thank you for watching and commenting 😀

Hi John, those sheaves are lovely. I like your idea of mixing different materials into a wee "sheave family". I really enjoyed the dried flower craze of the 1980's . Lots and lots of pretty colors of statice were available at the Pike Place Market back then. I'm glad to see it making a come-back. There's so much one can do with dried flowers, from arranging in a vase, to tying into a sheave as you did in this fun video, to weaving dried flower "crowns" for the girls, to making small dried flower arrangements in tea cups for a festive tea, to making door wreathes out of dried flowers that last an entire season, etc. Bravo. ;0) Oh, and cute new haircut--ready for summer.

All the stems etc from your flower arranging does it go in the garden waste recycling?. That's what I do with mine at home and at church.

Reflections and love I am lucky that I work with flowers as a job - so our green rubbish gets seperated and recycled there. If I have flowers at home then yes, into the Garden waste when they are finished 😀

You buy them as bunches - so depending on the size you can use two to three bunches. 😀🌼

Where do you buy the dried wheat or barley from?

It can be ordered through your local florist - or any place that do dried should be able to source them for you 😊

Doesn't it shed? If I put wheat straws in a vase would it shed?

Modern wheat is bred not to drop - as it is artificially harvested now by machine. So it will last well - but not forever! 😀

How much wheat you used for one arrangement?

Ann Ckita about three bunches - but it depends how big you want it to be - so 2 - 5 depending on size.
