Thank you for the clear instructions! Bought a ballgown for my daughter, but it did not fit across the back. Used your instructions, and it came out beautifully! I am a novice sewer, watched your video over and over, step by step, and prayed a lot!

Exactly why I’m here lol same senerio lol
My teenager came home with a prom dress from Goodwill for $13.99 and asked me to add a corset like back so it fit her chest. I've never sewn large adjustments to clothing before, just a hem or dart here or there but nothing like this. She's a size 12 everywhere but her chest and this video saved me! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
Your explanation and demonstration was so refreshingly simple, clearly spoken and easy to follow! Thank you for the time you took to put together an instructional tool that even a beginning sewer, like myself, could follow along.🥰
Love it. I did this to the side of my shorts when I was 16. This is a beautiful professional redesign🥰

I have a dream dress that just was a little two small I know that the dress will look adorable with the grommets and I’ll finally be able to wear it! So thank you so much!! 💗💗
Had ordered a top from shein but it was too small. Followed your tutorial and the results were AMAZING. I had to sew by hand because my sewing machine was broken lol but nonetheless I got a lot of compliments and even had a complete stranger ask if I can add lace up to one of their pieces because they thaught I was sooo professional! Haha 🤣 Thank you so much for this tutorial!

❤❤❤❤ Anastasia! Thank YOU! I am not a fan of alterations and as you may also run into this as any selfish sewist or an all around professionally seamstress, when people know you sew, they always want you to hem or take in their garments. I finally became comfortable telling people I don't sew for others without guilt. WELL a very dear friend asked if I could increase the width of a dress she is the maid of honor for a wedding she is in a week from now 😭😭😭😭. I cannot say no as I know her options to get a seamstress this soon to fix her dress in this late of a notice is nearly impossible due to the current season. Because of your SUPER EASY instructions (so detailed), I can adjust her dress for her. Thank YOU for this. Additionally, I am now thinking of some of my dresses I can do this to as well. You are so amazing, such a great tutorial. ❤

This should work great for a formal gown that needed a solutionIt! It is black with a large floral pattern in various shades of blue! I’m excited to present this idea to her. I plan on also asking the seamstress if a triangle of double layered black, stretch tulle can be sewn into the “open V” so as to not have bare skin exposed to the blue laced ribbon ? I figured this might be a solution for those that request &/or require more modesty?! Looking forward to watching more of your videos ❣️

You’re so fun and you got organization total package 🧚🏼♀️ honey, stellar! I watched three other videos and they were not as clear and understanding you showed it just enough but it was clear in my brain is got it all figured out I’m wanting to do this on all kinds of things. What I’m wondering about maybe have you done this on another video is if you can add a modesty panel to the back or is that really challenging? I’m just wondering if where you have the pink ribbon if I took a piece of the fabric from the dress if you have some some people don’t actually have any and then put that going across where the ribbon crosses underneath.
@SewAnastasia

You can totally add a modesty panel. Just sew it to one side & leave it lose on the other
Love this! Question: Could the grommets be spray painted to match the color of the garment? Thinking of trying this on an orange lace dress, but don't think the gold grommets will quite be right.
This is so helpful! I bought a beautiful dress for my graduation ceremony, but it doesn’t fit my chest…it zips all the way up to right under the chest. I will definitely be using this

Can it be done underneath each arm if the dress has a side zip under the one arm and is very small? So both sides laces under arms instead of the back ?

Would this work on a vintage silk organza wedding dress? I’m trying to make alterations to my mom and grandmas old dress so I can wear it to the rehearsal dinner and surprise them.. but I don’t have the time or money to hire a professional. And it doesn’t close in the back :( I have to wash it to get out the yellowing and then try to do this to the back. But I don’t know if the material will allow it
