How to make a DIY mask for a Minecraft costume - ep04 - Roland Master Maker

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

In this episode I’ll be making a face mask with a hydraulic opening inspired by the video game Minecraft. I’ll be using simple materials and custom prints by Roland.
If you like making you own projects and you want to make your own mask for a Minecraft costume you can download the project files, blue prints and graphic files, by going to our facebook page. Just click on the following link:

In this video I’ll be making the face mask for a Steve cos-play or Halloween costume, the main character from the game Minecraft. The face mask will also have an Hydraulic front opening to make it more fun.
This project is made with simple materials and tools that are available to most people.
Kids, make sure you have your parent’s approval and supervision.
To make this DIY mask for a Minecraft costume I first transferred the design from the blue prints onto a polycarbonate sheet using a tape measure, a caliper, a marker and a ruler.
Then I cut the shape of the structure using a cutter.
I glued together the structure using some hot glue, the resulting shape is the cube, typical of the game Minecraft.
Then I made the hydraulic system that allows the front of the mask to slide up and down using syringes and some plastic hoses.
Once the mask was ready I went to Roland to print the head graphics onto a sheet of adhesive vinyl using a printing and cutting plotter from Roland, the TrueVIS.
I applied the vinyl onto the mask and completed the build by adding a bicycle helmet inside of it to allow a kid to wear the mask securely.
My son was very happy with the Minecraft mask! I’m sure that at the next costume party or cosplay event it will be a big hit!

Ciao Riccardo, grazie perl'interessamento :) qui' tutto bene.
