How to make a DIY basketball hoop out of reebar and plywood
In this video I make a basketball hoop out of reebar, 18mm plywood, some metal parts and nylon strings. This project combines metalworking and woodworking and it was a good opportunity for me to practice my stick welding skills.

Right of the bat I don’t have anything that u need for that I guess I have to keep looking for some easier tips on how to make a basketball hoop but the vid was great and it turned out awesome nice vid

Can you do the same but with perspex or fibre glass??? Really want to make my own, wooden backboard wont last long in my area
It's super cool but I'll need to see it stand up to a dunk from Shaq before I'm truely impressed.

The thickness of the cord/rope is shown at 10:00, it is 4.8 millimetres.

like all the groundskeepers I've ever had the privilege to be shouted at (in full seriousness): "the basket-ball hoop is for scoring only - not pull-ups!!!" (probably never ever seen anybody dunk, would rather blame kids for "vandalizing" their lead-metal hoops rather than buy right type)

I should have used them but it wasn't too messy. I don't use many amps if I don't have to.

@@ScrapwoodCity I always use gloves for MMA and MIG welding. Otherwise, you can get not only thermal, but also radiation burns %)
